yep that JYP man is something huh! don’t know what this man is really thinking! you know! i feel insulted when a artist gets undress! makes me feel like I’m that shallow and cheap to waste my time looking for a gigolo among supposedly artists! This also intrigues me bcos as I also noticed the ajumma syndrome with my local idol, his fan club is packed with aunty fans tt it was even mentioned in Asia New Force, a entertainment news program tt bcos of the predominantly aunty n some uncle fans (with more $$$) tt his birthday cake n celebration was even bigger than another artist already establised in Taiwan.

This ajumma syndrome is giving me goosebumps when an artist become popular not only thru talent n high likeability factor alone but by other added value, i.e. sublimally selling sex, part of the artist´s packaging n market positioning of the pkg.

However ajumma syndrome isnt a new thing, even during my grandma´s time when rich tai tais (wives of rich man) wld give thick gold chains n what not to their fav. artist so tt they cld “buy time” with them. However, with the explosion of the news media, we r able 2 c the ajumma syndrome clearer as it is not only affordable 2 the very rich but every ajumma who has the time n inclination. Initially I felt tt it cld be ajummas with time in their hands n looking 4 an outlet: std up 2 support their artist of choice, socializing with other fans, etc. Cld it be just tt or m I reading 2 much into this.

duh, we all know what all producers know, someone can’t be a wellknown artist just by simply holding on his voice. guess that’s why these singers are doing years of entertainment-school and all that before they finally show up before public. good to hear, good to see, that’s good. but when physic goes way over the music, for me it’d be just a joke.

but hell, who am i to say all these? it’s the ahjummas they want, not me…*sigh*
