I have a respect personally for this guy Se7en, and would definitely want to see his success in the US market. But today I ran into a worried fan account which I think it worth sharing.

“Se7en will have his American debut in the near future and as you know Asians and even Asian Americans have yet made a break through in the U.S. music industry. It will be difficult to get the majority of people to be receptive to his music (I also think it’s way too early for him to even do this).
I’m also worried about his fanservice type videos on YouTube.
Besides being an Asian, not fluent in English, and possibly labeled as a wannabe of an artist, but to have him perceived as gay could be another troubling factor where Se7en has to explain himself to America. Even if it’s just fanservice there’s a lot of ignorant people who’d think differently or just cannot accept Korea’s culture of skinship.
So, this is my proposal: To ask the owners of Tae7en, Wheesung & Se7en or any other ‘touchy’ videos to be removed or set private (though you can still see the descriptions when you search… :\). I know this won’t stop people from uploading in the future or that there are other sites that also show those clips.. But it’s a start. Or maybe leave them and wait til it blows up in the media and see what the reactions will be about this.
I always feel there’s a double standard when it comes to fanservice in America. (ex: Madonna and Britney; but with guys..? ) Also, I’m surprised that many uploaders of those videos don’t do crap when people making quick and rude judgements on comments.. Freedom of speech is fine, but being misinformed is not.

Okay so we read what she wrote, I think it is essential (This is ShenYue speaking BTW) to remember while making any actions you should be ready for the consciousness! It doesn’t matter who the person is, an artist, entertainer or whoever, it’s a price you pay making such questionable actions in public if you want to come later claim otherwise!
So I don’t think it is any fair as to ask people to judge you not based on what you make them see from you! likewise being forced by people to act in a way you are not!
If Se7en for a fact is emotionally suffering from all the homosexual labels he is given (which I never heard him mentions something like that) the label is definitely based on what he did in the past, so perhaps he should learn his lesson and act more like what he wants others see him like! And it’s not like it’s a big of a deal to be a homosexual anyways, thank God we have reached where to respect everyone’s decisions as far as their personal choice of living style goes! And I’m confident to tell those worried fans that Americans are definitely more open toward homosexual phenomena than Korean culture does. So I don’t think it will be a big burden toward his debut in US assuming he is one, factoring out other stuff!
But I think people have all the rights to make videos and share them in community places based on how they have perceived the artist! In Se7en’s case he has given people enough for thinking that way! I think this is an open question. Imagine coming from a culture that is still dealing with giving minimum homosexual rights to its citizen, and assuming you are familiar with people’s thoughts and concerns regarding the issue, why would you put yourself in such standings in the first place! And call it a Fan-Service? If all that touchy-feely stuff is merely a show and you are too uncomfortable with it then you should have had defiantly consulted with a counselor! For it takes a different mental routing to be trained to take for even being okay act like it and be cool about it later!!!! You know what I mean?
