You know…ShenYue, this guy is tooo perfect and thats a RED FLAG! He is always smiling and always poitive…too positive. I mean you never see anything negative about him. I mean if its true then I am wrong but his messages are so flaky. I mean after 4 years we still have to hear him speak in code like that. Not really saying much. He writes in ‘Prose’lol!!! Why not write regular like:

What are we to expect of him in the US…no one will want to listen. And Yes I love him deeply but I’m American…lets not get it twisted. I expect to see my celebrities talked about on radio, the internet, and in the magazines…lol!!!!

About speaking in codes! in my opinion it’s a cultural thing! Have you ever read singer Rain’s messages OMG they are the same every time he writes only adjusted a little for the specific occasion! Sometimes I have doubted if he even really wrote them, cuz by reading them couple times I can now write them for him……….

AND Exactly, Americans are straight forward we don’t have time for someone to jump on the bushes for saying the stuff he could write in 10 half-sentences!
But I wouldn’t worry to much for this Se7en’s message cuz it was written in Korean and we have it translated, that means it was written for Koreans and approved by the cultural norms..,but if he ended up writing his English messages like that, it would a total ALRAM! But Se7en is smart guy, I know he will get adjusted (though realistically to some extent) my real worries is for singer Rain , he has a major short coming in learning languages also expressing himself that gets even to his fans! Reporters can’t take it most of them time! I know my friends who where his fans been telling me they are really worried the way he talks, coming to US, makes us fans embarrassed in front of all those heard us talking about him the whole time! ‘i know they are right! cuz when he came to US (for the Madison concert in NY) so I was watching that MTV show! And I was all excited to hear him speak in English! GOD my sister walked in heard him say “ I’m so IXCITED!” then “ I LOVE LOVE LOVE ….” OMG she made me fun of ME the whole night! Well I donno if you know but I’m not Asian, so my whole family still are trying to figure out why am i being into Koreans (or Asians) so yeah, girl, I made a fool out of myself that day! And gave a good laugh to her! Very embarrassing I should say! LOLOL
and about his American Debut! I personally think it’s too early for either Rain or Se7en…b/c they are not one bit familiar with the culture. I think if Koreans are planning to break through US they should think about it as a long run project … choose a person since birth for this specific purpose. work with him/her with managed plans, perhaps send the kid to school in US heck why don’t they use Brian Joo or Taebin? They both are American Born though seems like Brian Joo has been to Korea more than half of his total age… to me his English is beginning to have a weird accent! But nonetheless at least they wouldn’t make fun of themselves on he interviews in front of the whole nation! God knows what will happen during next year with these two guys pushed into US…. I’m so worried of that MAD TV seriously they have no shame! And think about it if these two messes up; no doubt the way will get blocked for any one else into the US market! Cuz naturally they will stereotype them all! ….i wouldn’t dare to even think about the outcome! I’m seriously so worried for them!

I think you went a bit overboard with the pick one child and raise them from birth…lol,You know I’m not Asian either, I got the same reaction from my family and its funny because anytime we see a Asian thats not Filipino they ask me what was their nationality.

Its kind of hard to talk to those fans and their expectations on Se7ens American Debut because many of them like Se7en doing hip-hop and R&B but don’t really appreciate or know the music so its easy for them to say they like it or hate it without even knowing the history behind it. They still see Se7en as just a Asian artist and not a international artist because soon they will have to share him with everyone. Yeah I see what you’re saying about it being a cultural thing with the messages but its hard for me to gauge his personality in general because maybe I expect him to be wild and crazy like Rain…but maybe he just isn’t like that.

I do know Se7en is really smart you can tell because of the way he handles situations and his response to different questions. I think he will fit in just fine with the American market because of this. But I do worry because there are many things that he does that is considered taboo in our culture…for example, I have read many of your posts in which you point out that Se7en wears a man purse or the one when he is putting on the Jewelery…sooo funny. Or the way he wears his hair from time to time. But he is not as bad as Rain…there are soooo many things you could get on him for the list would be tooo long.

So I will leave you with this thought….American Taboo= Rain being allergic to metallics, when I heard that I was like WTF!!! Remember for the Pepsi commercial and he had it sprinkled on his chest…its shit like that lol…I think I saw that on popseoul.

it’s so funny how you say that! i agree i agree! about them do taboo stuff! yep and they are way too many to count! when i started my blog i have been pointing out so many of Rain but some Filipino Ajumma and her friends started bashing me so bad and then others so basically i gave up on him, I deleted those posts and shut down the blog for a whole month, if you notice i rarely talk about Rain , ever since then honestly i don’t care much for him! Seeing him remind me of that bad experiences! though if those crazy fans weren’t around i would continue pointing out stuff about him! but whatever! let them stay in their ignorance!

The truth is that you and I don’t fully understand Asian culture and vice versa! so we normally can’t get along with the artists fans! The artists do stuff that makes us go like WTF but for the rest of Asia it’s totally OK. that makes it fun to share our thoughts and concerns however, with bunch of closed minded die-hard fan that i don’t wish to create a situation here fot them to feel like commenting here and feel like lecturing me, I rather not to provide the means! we have couple of them here been around for a long time and despite the fact they can’t stand me, and clearly express their hateful feelings toward me but they always read my posts! WTF! i never understood that! Wish people were busy a little!
