So If you have been a Fan of my blog and been in contact with me, you sure been waiting for this moment! Yep, people we finally managed to have our interview with Tiffany out! WOOHOOO

For those of you Don’t recall, Tiffany is one of the most creative fans a singer could ever have and that singer happened to be no one but Singer Rain. During his International Tour, Singer Rain had a stop at great land of Malaysia (which thus far in my opinion, Malaysians gave us the best fan accounts and full coverage of news) and that’s when we all met Tiffany. If your light bulb still not turning on. Check out our post about her back in our old blog
By the way, the questions being asked here are the combination of questions my blog’s fans sent me via email. Also we had some fans who saw her in person on the day of the concert, since their questions were more in details, we gave a section at the end of the interview exclusively for those questions.
ShenYue: Tell us about yourself.
Tiffany: My full name is Tiffany Toh Sue Yen. I will be turning 19 this October, 14th October to be exact. I am Malaysian Chinese (I have however, been asked if i was Korean or Japanese many times. There was this one incident where the guy refused to believe that i was Chinese and insisted that i was Korean.) I have completed two years of my degree in the American Degree Transfer Program in Malaysia. I will be going to the State University of New York, Buffalo to complete my remaining two years this August. I am majoring in Political Science. My interest in this field began when i was 15, when i participated in a national United Nations Competition. My passion for this grew when i represented my country in the Model United Nations Conference held in Beijing, China. (If you google my full name, you’ll find it!! lol..) Hopefully, I will be able to make a difference in this world once i attain my degree. I completed the first two years last December and am currently working part time in Swedish Marque, a company which deals with Volvo Cars, to pass the time.
ShenYue: What made you interested in Korean entertainment?
Tiffany: I always had this mind set that Asian music could never be as good as western produced music. So all along, i was not interested in Asian Entertainment, let alone Korean Entertainment, at all. Until one day, i was watching TRL(Total Request Live) on MTV, and Rain was on it. I reluctantly watched it and when he performed, i was literally blown away.
ShenYue: How long have you been Rain’s fan? What made you interested in him?
Tiffany: I have been his fan for about a year. I know a year is not exactly very long, but I don’t think the “how big of a fan am I?” factor can be measured by the time spent being his fan. I can honestly say that i am not the kind of fan that memorizes every single thing about him. I enjoy his music and i appreciate his work. My interest in him actually started because of his amazing dance skills and ability to give an awesome performance. I am also a dancer (and i love to perform), and basically took him as a role model. What really made me become such a big fan was the fact that he was able to capture audiences even though more than 50% of them have no idea what he is talking/singing about. I am amazed by how i can watch him and not be bored even though i don’t understand Korean. I wasn’t really convinced that he could sing that well until after the concert. Boy, did he prove me wrong! He can SING!!!
ShenYue: Was this the first Rain’s concert you have ever attended?
Tiffany: Yes, this is the first Rain concert i have attended as this is the first time he performed in Malaysia. Hopefully there will be many more concerts to come.
ShenYue: How did you come up with that brilliant idea?
Tiffany: Okay, my main intention was to get on the giant screen on the day of the concert so that he would at least notice my existence. Obviously, i got so much more than i bargained for. How did i come up with this idea? Well, i realized that i needed something very attention grabbing, which could be carried out with a very low budget. So i decided to make a poster with something crazy written on it. After taking some time to brainstorm, i decided that writing “I’m pregnant with your kid” was the best idea i came up with. At that time, i was kind of dating a Korean, so i got him to translate it for me. I have no idea what possessed me to do what i did next (i was probably so convinced that Rain would call), but i (stupidly, may i add), included my mobile number on the poster.

ShenYue: What was on your mind while doing it!
Tiffany: That he would notice me and CALL!!!
ShenYue: What were the responses you received from others?
Tiffany: I was there early to line up, so i got a lot of attention form the other people at the concert. A lot of people came up to me and asked if they could have their picture taken with me. I got good and bad responses. Many people came up to me, looked at it, laughed, and told me that it was a brilliant idea. A lot of Koreans, specifically, found it hilarious. The Malaysian crowd was not that open about it. Some, even got upset. Some of his female fans said things like ,”How can you write something like that?”,”Rain is not that kind of person” and ,”Don’t’ you think Rain is going to get angry with you when he sees what you’ve written?”. *(I just want to add here, that i didn’t mean to upset anyone by doing this.) Some people also thought that it was a publicity stunt, and that Rain’s people actually paid me to do that. I saw a couple of reporters taking my photo but i really did not imagine for the picture to spread, and become “known” internationally. Basically, i just got stared at a lot that day.
ShenYue: Did ever Media contacted you? (Koreans had an article about you anything from them?)
Tiffany: Unfortunately, the Media did not contact me. I would have been delighted if they did. I have also yet to see this infamous Korean article on me. I’m actually dying to see it.
ShenYue: You told me that Rain never contacted you but so many other people did from Korea and Malaysia! who were these people? What did they say? Why did they say they called you for?
Tiffany: They just wanted to know why i did it. A lot just called, and hung up. I got a lot of text messages asking if i was really the girl from the Rain concert. One Korean guy actually called me and scolded me, asking me how i would feel if someone wrote something like that about me. That phone call actually left me feeling really bad for a couple of days.
ShenYue: What would you say to Singer Rain if he ever contact you?
Tiffany: As silly as this sounds, part of me still thinks that there is hope for him to actually call me. I honestly have no idea how i would react. I would probably freak out. But then suck it all up and have a decent conversation so he doesn’t think I’m weird or something. lol.
ShenYue: Anything interesting you experienced after taking that poster, that you want to share?
Tiffany: The only thing remotely interesting that happened was the first time i found out about the picture being online. I got this text message saying that i was FAMOUS in Korea. So i asked my Korean friends about it and they confirmed it. So many of my Korean girlfriends who were Rain fans were so excited about the whole incident that day. The idea of being “famous” and having “fans” is still so surreal. I thought you were kidding when you told me. I will be going to Korea for a holiday at the end of this month, so we’ll see how “famous” i actually am. I doubt anyone will remember though.
ShenYue How did this experience change your life?
Tiffany: Well, there are a lot of people who now want to be my friend! At least that was what all the text messages and calls were about. My mobile wouldn’t stop ringing at one point of time. I have also started to learn Korean after this whole incident. Which is great, as I’ve always wanted to learn a foreign language.
ShenYue: Any plans for the next Rain’s concert?
Tiffany: Nope, no plans yet. I’ll think about it when the next concert comes along. I’ll make sure you have a follow up if i do anything crazy.

Tiffany Answers her Die-Hard Fans’ Questions!
……………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Tiffany: To my die hard fan (i still find this hilarious, it feels so weird to say it), thanks for the support. I hope this answers your questions.
Die-Hard Fan: (I’m dying to know) who was the tough looking guy in black T with her before the concert?
Tiffany: The tough looking guy in the black T is my best friend. His name is Pau Chang Liang and according to him, he came along to “protect” me from girls who might attack me for making the poster!
Die-Hard Fan: How has that picture/international exposure captured by the press and posted in blogs changed her life, if any? (I didn’t notice any local Malaysian press picking up that picture, or I could have missed seeing it).
Tiffany: Like i mentioned above, my Mobile phone line has become very busy. Malaysian press did take pictures. If I’m not mistaken, the picture came out in a local Chinese Magazine.
Die-Hard Fan: Me wondering if she is Malaysian? She came early not 2 queue but was hanging around KpopKingdom, an organisation 4 the promotion of Kmusic in SEA region with the base in Malaysia, why she chose there?
Tiffany: Yes, I am Malaysian, but like i said earlier, i have been mistaken for Korean or Japanese many many times. I actually did go early to queue, but since the lines weren’t that long a the beginning, i decided to walk around for a bit. I didn’t specifically choose that place, i just so happen to be there. lol.
