American University Shooting Rampage Incident, Flying Sparks for Singer RainJapan television show guest, singer Rain, was put in a difficult situation. Rain, on the 19th at 9:30am, appeared on Japan Television morning talk show “Radio Culture.” This program, with the morning newspaper as its base, is a talk show which introduces the latest news articles and celebrity information.
But as soon as the broadcast started, Rain was put in a predicament. The Virginia Tech University shooting rampage incident was treated as top news. This program flowed with America’s NBC broadcast video of suspect Cho Seung-Hui.
After that, a male reporter asked Rain’s opinion in regard to the incident. In an instant, Rain’s expression stiffened, but he soon recovered and calmly replied, “I think it’s very regrettable. I don’t wish for this kind of incident to happen again.” When another reporter asked Rain for his personal opinion once more, Rain again emphasized, “I saw the news yesterday, and it was very shocking. I don’t wish for this kind of incident to happen again.”
Rain participated in the program to promote his May 25th World Tour Japan performance at Tokyo Dome, but due to the Virginia Tech University shooting incident, he wasn’t able to obtain the effect he had hoped for.

i thought his answer was weak and not very constructive..yes the shooting is a very sensitive issue to us all especially students because we don’t feel safe in a place where we go almost everyday of our lives..a place where we have been since we were 4 yrs. old…i mean he doesn’t have to define the shooter or anything but he should of said something along the line that just because the shooter is Korean doesn’t mean anything because not all Koreans are related..its was fair of them, the radio people, to ask him that question since it is big news around the world..i don’t see why he should be startled by that question?? i mean he should get use to it because the American media will be just as straight forward and more critical so if he’s gonna get all worked up over a question like that than he should really think twice before entering the waters of the US because believe me Rain the water can be warm but most of the time its cold damn cold..so get a wet suit and some warm blankets ready cause you’re gonna need it
