What instruments did he use?

Mr. Kaoru Ayabe used a LP513 LP Studio Series Bar Chimes 2 Lines 72 Bars.

“It is a wind chime that produces a clean sound. It has 32 bars but becomes double (72) because of the 2 lines, meaning that you can hit the bars in front and at the back. During recording of “I Want to Meet You”, I used it with my fingers to make a soft sound. This wind chime is one of the most important instruments you can hear in SE7EN’s song.”

He also used finger snaps in the song.

“I used my middle finger and thumb and produced a trained “tsu” sound! You’ll first hear the snaps in “narihibiku densha no beru”. I recorded the finger snaps for so many times to produce the best sound. (^^;)”

Another instrument used was the grand piano.

“In a studio in Tokyo, a grand piano was used for the recording of “I Want to Meet You”. Jun Murayama was the pianist. Don’t you think SE7EN’s voice and the delicate sound of the piano go well with each other? The end part was Jun Murayama’s ad lib and it’s actually my most favorite part! It was like how the song started. Since Jun Murayama and SE7EN weren’t able to meet, I feel that the song was incomplete.”
