Nikon, sits in the top 3rd position of South Korea’s digital camera market.
Nikon, after setting up branch store for 1 year, has moved up to the 3rd position in the hierarchy of South Korea’s digital camera market.
According to results investigated by specialized market survey organization GFK, Nikon’s sales volumes stood at 6th position last April, but for the first time this January entered the competition and continuously maintained its position until April when it was announced that their sales ranked in 3rd position.
In Nikon’s opinion, as a whole the digital camera industry was not doing so well the same time last year, but their sales volume was enhanced by 100% and their earnings grew by 112%.
Nikon indicated that the number one reason why they are ranked in 3rd position is because they had invited “top model” RAIN to be their spokesperson.
At present the South Korean digital camera market consists of Samsung, Canon and Nikon as the top competitiors. (skipped…)
