The Korean boy band, Paran, will advance to Indonesia following their debut in China and Thailand.

The group recently graced Indonesian headlines for their performance held to mark 15 years of Korea-Vietnam diplomatic ties.

They will hold a solo concert and promotional events in Jakarta, for which they will leave Seoul July 26. Interviews with some 75 Korean and foreign media outlets are also scheduled.

Their upcoming concert was proposed by an Indonesian agency, Cantrikutmua Resiklestari, who has noted keen interest in Korean culture and the high popularity of Korean dramas in Indonesia amid a strong Hallyu wave.

The agency said it considered several potential Korean singers but chose Paran as they are popular in Thailand, Vietnam, China and have many fan clubs in Indonesia, which they have never visited.

Paran says they are committed to the overseas promo tour in a bid to further spread Korean cultural contents.
