I LOVE this drama and watched the first two episodes. Can’t wait to see the next one. *waits for the subtitles* Shenyue, you’re not alone, haha.

If you checked d-addicts today, you could have seen that withS2 released translation for episode 3 and 4.
Anyway Coffee Prince is really great, thanks to the cast, and a great production, and the fact that there aren’t slow time in each episode (but I’ve seen only the first four), slow times which are really recurring in kdramas.

other post didn’t turn up so here’s another one…I LOVE THIS DRAMA!!! so far its so funny and entertaining..so far the drama isn’t lagging..just hope it doesn’t later on…anywho i’ve been watching up to episode 6 without subs even though i don’t understand i still get the jest of it…but for those who want a detailed summaries of each episodes up to now…

it’s downright rude to be shouting for subs when i’m sure the people subbing the drama are working as fast as they can.
have some respect for the fansubbers working for free!

to fansubber..we ALL appreciate the hard work and dedication fansubbers put into subbing the dramas that we all dearly enjoy..i understand that you guys don’t like hardsubbing and having your work posted on sites such as youtube or veoh..but for some of us that’s the only source we have to watching these dramas…we’re fans just like you and everyone out there so please don’t come off all high and mighty..we just want to enjoy these wonderful dramas as much as you do and we’re not burning it and selling it so please be more respectful to us fans…

Thanks for revising your original post Shenyue. I can’t say I disagree with “fansubber.” Trust me, With S2 is very, very aware of the popularity of Coffee Prince and is busting its ass to do a great job as fast as it can. It’s not like we’re deliberately being slow to make fans wait longer, so despite knowing how much people want to have the newest subtitle releases, it is very disheartening to be told we’re not working hard enough.

Same with the hardsub releases. We understand some people greatly prefer watching on sites like youtube and veoh, but the fact is they’re blatantly disregarding the subbers’ wishes. Fans, the rule again isn’t in place to piss you off. There’s a reason — hardsubs place fansubbers at higher risk for copyright and legal issues, and it’s a precaution so that we aren’t shut down entirely. As much as we’d love to not have to worry about legal matters, it’s better to be safe now and continue operating, rather than being forced to stop completely. So we really, really wish people could respect that and understand that our rules aren’t arbitrary and selfish. Honestly!

Well, thanks for explaining all that in details my friend ^^ well now at least I have a great background thanks to you, on the reasons why we shouldn’t watch it on the mainstream … though downloading the shows and then the whole soft sub package separately and then downloading and extra software I-donno-how to magically put them together means one thing to people like I .. that is giving up on the drama~! Believe me if we could have manage to download we wouldn’t watch it on the mainstream either .. the least it does … is the convenience to watch it on our own paste than begging a 12 year old to do his math homework quick and come out to do the uploads!!!! … but the problem is .. some of us don’t have much access nor know the tech stuff on how to manage watching a simple drama! Maybe it’s hard to believe .. ridiculous to even imagine! But we are not even able to figure out how to sub a single video ourselves, or how to download on the youtube!!!! Our translation team are working on subbing a 1 min interview for a week now but we have no hope!~ so there are reasons for us on this side too … wish we could find a way to follow the rules .. but it requires excessive training (i saw some instruction manuals on soompi .. but it didn’t work for me T_____T) and a 24 hours costumer service to help us set ourselves for downloading!

By saying that I was waiting for the sub I never ever tried to be disrespectful by any means .. if anything it should show the amount of love and respect that we have for you guys … aren’t there places working for something people never care about? I never even thought that you guys might get offended!!! I work as hard as the subbing team .. and I am confident when I say that!!!!!! I was rather disgusted at the manner of that fansubber person! I was really shocked on how someone can give her/his self this much credit to speak to someone like that! Maybe we are living in different worlds .. cuz over hear people emails and comment 24/7 for a certain posts on a certain issue all the time .. it doesn’t mean I am not doing a good job cuz I am not covering all the Kpop artists .. and I left out on this certain issue they are looking for?!… that’s why I don’t want you to take that approach on my message!! Cuz it never meant to be offending the subbing team!

i get the point about the legal issues but like Shen said having to download the episode, than the softsubs, making sure both files are the same and having to have the correct codec so the files play is too much for me..i’m not a tech expert so its a little difficult for me too…and you can’t say that we ALL rush the subbing team to get the subs out as quickly as possible because not all of us do that..i guess there are some things that we can’t all agree with but the bottom line is that we all love watching korean dramas so that’s the only common grounds we have? try to be understanding on our parts as well because those individuals who posted the videos on mainstream sites aren’t trying to break your rules but they understand ppl like us that aren’t technology savey..i do appreciate what you guys are doing and thank you so much for bringing us our favorite kdramas and maybe one day we can all agree on the hardsubs huh?

if we were truely rude as fansubber has said than we would have went to the subbers forum and complained about the long wait. but we did not we were only talking amongst ourselves.not only that but because of our discussion we end up pulling someone in who really wants to help in subbing these dramas (thank you min). if they truely don’t want their subs to end up on yt or veoh,and other places. they would have made their subs very private,but i do really appreciate all their hard work that they do. because like others i know 0% of the korean langauge to even sub a word. by us getting excited about when the next subbed ep is coming out is actually our way of showing our gratitude towards the hard working subbers. because i do leave comments thanking the uploader and sub team for what they do.

pleeze… look at your original blog entry and ask yourself if you were not demanding for the subs…. you were shouting for them to be released as fast as possible… look at your original title!
if your entry was not offensive, you need not revise it… put it back so others can see it for themselves and judge accordingly.
i’m not from the coffee prince subbing group but just as a bystander even i got offended by your demanding tone.
why should i be high and mighty as a fansubber? fansubbing is for the selfless, not for proud people.
it’s crazy hard work and you gain nothing except the satisfaction of giving something back to the kdrama community.
as for it supposedly being so hard to download a video and softsubs, join them and so on, if countless non-techies have done it, you can learn too.
grandmothers can do it… it’s a matter of trying and asking for help.
disregarding fansubbers’ rules of not putting our work online in hardsubbed form is disrespectful…. like javabeans said, you are putting us at a big risk.

hello have you taken a look around and see what Shen and her staff have posted?? it was this ONLY article that she “demanded” the subs but she did it in a jokely way..you don’t have the right to be calling someone out when you have NO idea what is being said and what is being posted on here…if we were demanding as you said than we would have flooded the forums and WithS2 sites with our demands..please do us all a favor and not come back here cause you’re comments are rude and disrespectly to Shen and her staff..and btw i see ppl using news on his site and they post them on forums and other places and they don’t give proper credit…

Penny, I put her for moderation so we won’t be seeing her around ^^ … I am glad you noticed what is happening on the net Penny ^^ the amount of the stealing people are doing out of our news and posts is beyond what one can imagine .. we see our very own comments (sometimes they even edit them for us LOL!) are even being credited by other sources and when we go demand our rights they tell us bunch of crap even delete our comments O_O and after 2 days of struggle emailing this and that … they tell us they are not gonna delete the post and all they can do is to add our site name at the very end of the lines of other sources which we donno what! We often hear we never took the news out of ShenYuePop … that’s the first time we heard your site name!!!!!! LOLOLL …. what hurts the most is some people find their life much easier when reading off our news we provide and then make the post out of them act like they were born with the knowledge … it sounds so pathetic like cuz i know i post that up originally … I can see the exact topic brought up by us! … even find my own words … so who are you kidding?! and on the Youtube videos .. well some of our readers are so dedicated that they post videos only for us .. so they email me and tell me this is what goes with this news you posted and I put it up for you 5 min ago .. then i see other ppl are referring to it the same exact day! without any credit!!!! they tell me they search for the video LOL what a joke! well i know you must have seen it somewhere to know it is even on the youtube to search for it .. chances are when you got the news outta here you saw the video which comes with it too! That’s why we decided to do things differently …. but i’m pretty sure wouldn’t stop them .. these latest stuff freaked our sister blogger LW out too .. to the extend where she was thinking of pass-protect her posts .. and since there are known people who make comments on her site, so she might as well give the pass to only them … I understand her feelings cuz honestly as a blogger unless people don’t make a comment on your posts .. you wouldn’t know they read it! We have the same thing going on with the staff …we email them or write stuff but not until we see a line from them that we know they read it ^^

But please everyone let us know if you saw our posts else where … and feel free to confront the forum and the poster about it and hopefully we can at least establish ourselves as a known site … at least let Kpop fans know we DO exist!!! That way they know they can get our original work over here .. and we can help with the questions they have on the posts and assist them on more information … cuz these thieves don’t even know much on Kpop sounds like it! I see ppl are asking questions about the artists we talked about ON OUR POSTS NOW THEIRS and no one answers them!
