It’s someone from YG, Skull, or Jo Seong Jin, 28 yo member of Reggae and HipHop duo Stony Skunk. His debut single currently ranked the 10th on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hiphop Singles Sales chart per August 4th. (why the 4th?i dunno, we’re living in the same dimension, aren’t we?just to make sure).
His single Boom Di Boom Di was ranked the 16th on Saturday. Nice progress.
He is under the indie label of YG Management US, and his manager is Mariah Carey’s brother, Morgan Carey. I guess that give us some visions of who’s gonna be Se7en’s US manager…
YG says “Mariah Carey has conveyed her wish to work with Skull in her new album and her brother has also mentioned seeking a joint project during a media interview.” It added that “Top US producers including Grammy winning Ross Hogarth are showing a keen interest in Skull’s music, and related meetings will take place soon.”
