Latest On SUSHI (a.ka.SNSD)

I see that Shenyue shares my hidden love for our SUSHI girls. I swear SM has the greatest marketing strategies…in the beginning of SNSD, I was a pure skeptic with HIGH doubts. These girls aren’t the greatest talents you’ll find, but something about them just makes them too adorable to ignore

the song sounds nice..though they totally sound a bit like whiny bitches singing..uh..whatever..i still love my girls..XD i hope that isn’t the only costume they’re wearing..O___O I love the fact that a lot of the songs were either composed or arranged by Kenzie cuz she’s my fav composer..=D and the album cover is GORGEOUUSS..so princessy..lmao..*the crown on top reminds me of BoA’s sweet impact..O_O*

Yea..hrd about momusu talking about soshi..i cant image how they would collaborate..it’s wild..how can SO MANY GIRLS fit into a song..O__O

btw..i already have my favourite pairing..XD sunyeon [sunny+taeyeon] or Taeri[Taeyeon + yuri] =D yea..tiffany wasn’t prepared i think..so it looked kinda awkward..-O- still cute.. :p and i would love to be in that fan meeting though i know how to dance to ITNW..

I’m never into girls’ music. I always found that when girls sing their voices are so high pitched and get on my nerve after a few times. But maybe I’ll try to listen to a few of their songs. All the tittle sounds so bubbly and…..girly. We need to add on ‘Bunny’, ‘Rainbow’, ‘Ribbons’, and ‘Sugar’ as song titles for the album to be complete. XD

Ali – llike Shen-unni mentioned, that was me who wrote it. I highly doubt anyone on our staff is a …fan… like me. Sigh, I have to remember that I no longer make fun of them, and that I accept them XD
Junsufan – You too? BoA has had a crown on a few of her other singles or album covers. And Wonder Girls had a crown on their IRONY single as well…
Haha but that’s fun! So many damn girls? I think if they collaborated, they’d be as many as the old MM, 18! Ah~ that would bring back memories.
TEAYUN AND YURI?! They’re that close?! Man, I really need to make more time and watch all their little shows from MTV and see how close they are. Cuz I love Yuri, and I love TaeYun! so it’s a good enough pairing for me. But I really want one for SooYoung. Maybe because she totally gives off this …. vibe. HyoYun willing? hahah
MutaKu – I was in the same boat. But I watched the radio shows and they did pretty good! haha they do sound so high pitched and bubbly. I wanna hear Tiffany sing about a bunny… it just seems liek something she would do.

I was soooo excited when my favorite JPop girl band mentioned my current favorite KPop girl band~! Morning Musume is my number one, but SNSD is really growing on me. I hope they can keep getting better.

their cover album is like a mix of big bang and suju’s first album. big bang for the wording and just plain colored and words. suju for the silhouettes of the members…only suju had colours on them!

i’m going through the album right now…and wow..can it can anymore bubbly and girly?! and i’m guessing they remade those 3 songs written by a foreigner. the song with kangta and taeyeon isn’t that good…cuz taeyeon’s voice is quite high so the duet isn’t that great.

i agree. their voices are too high. none of the songs stick out. and i am a fan of kPOP. like ses and jang nara and finkl. ses is POP but wow ses’ songs are so catchy.. naru sarang hae x] also, i still can’t differentiate their voices. their voices are too similar too each other.

i find super junior’s “u” even more catchier than their songs & i’m not a big fan of super junior.

i was surprised to see something nice about sushi until i saw the author. i always see something negative about them here.

Would like to hear Min’s stuff as well. I liked her “Go Ahead” even though it was a little repetitive and I don’t really go for songs with that type of message. But yeah…

Will buy neither because I’m not allowed to buy things off the internet, and I don’t have the money to fly over to wherever just to buy either one ’cause they don’t sell it here. I’ll just listen to or watch whatever is on imeem or youtube.

Oh god…please, Tiffany, never mc another interview again… That was truly painful to hear your awkward silences and Korean phrasing…

hmmph. the interview wasn’t very lively. Seemed like Tiffany was thinking a lot. It was just a little awkward but it’s her first, right? But then again, I remember reading in their interview before that some of their training consisted of them doing mock newscasts and VJing. hmmph. I didn’t think it was that bad until around the ending when Saera was saying “I get to see…” and then she cut herself off because of something behind the camera. Is she Korean, by the way? Was Tiffany translating the answers and the questions or was she just… asking questions and then saying her opinion in Korean or something?

Jayc – SEE! I’m not the only one! I found myself singing their debut song last week for like three days. It got so annoying. But sigh. T_T I guess that means I like them. I still feel so ashamed beacuse I made fun of them so much. It’s like when I started liking Hyori after hating her as much as Rain.
Joli – I saw your comment on H!O. Nice to see someone from there. You really gonna buy it? That’s cool
Michelle – I don’t see how it looks like BIG BANG… but I guess there is somewhat a similarity about with SuJu’s (through your discription). Wait, the album is out for download already?!
Akon – HA! I thought the same thing. I like SuShi and all, but MIN has got some moves, and a pretty okay voice. Plus, I gotta give more love to the Asians in America!
swtaznlaydee – I agree, sometimes their voices are really similar. There are only a few you can tell apart. SuHyun, Tiffany, Jessica, and TaeYun. Either way, I like them more than SuJu, so I don’t mind coming out of my shell and writing something nice about them. I can’t tell, are you a fan of their’s, neutral, or do you dislike them?
Rosewin – through my VERY little understanding of Korean, for what I did watch (because as I mentioned, I couldn’t bare to watch the whole thing) I think she was translating what the Ausie was saying in Korean.

I just listened to the SNSD album… and I have to admit that I love ti. Although, I can’t imagine them performing these songs? Some of the English lyrics are awkward, though… which is typical of most foreign language songs… just like “it’s like bling bling ball, can’t stop it even though it’s not that cool”… hahahaha! I hear “merry, take me to the merry go round” and “I’ll be your tinkerbell int he sky”… but I can get over it ’cause I like the songs as wholes.

out of the two, i’d pick min. her song, “go ahead” is too childish and reptetitive. should’ve known. that is jyp’s strategy in songs these days. make the chorus extremely repetitive so that people can’t get it out of their mind.

slave, take out the too part, i said i’m not a fan of snsd. their songs are so blah & no-variety. i find kara more interesting, more variety in their album. i like how when they cover songs like brown eyes- already one year. they do it in their own style. they don’t sing it exactly like the original like some artists. i love their pairings too, especially sunghee & sung yeon. gradually, korean girl groups are getting pairings toos x] i like their song, don’t be shy, very reminiscent of old school kpop that i can imagine the original finkl singing it.

swatznlaydee – Oh, I meant the ‘too’ as in you and me. I don’t think SYP has more than one article of KARA, so I didn’t know there were other fans besides me. I like how they cover ALL their songs. And Seung Yun is VERY smart. Showing that you can be cute and a famous person, while being smart. Plus, THEY ARE LEGAL (well cept Nicole…) and old enough, but they don’t dress and act like the other girl groups these days. Hehe, I was a big Sung Hee and Seung Yun supporter, but Sung Hee and Gyuri pairing is just too strong. I like all their songs. There is a song that I didn’t like as much, but I will still listen to it. Even their OST is catchy! A lot of their songs on their album is quite old school sounding and it’s great. I especially like the first song on the album. In short, KARA wins it all.
I did think MIN’s song was catchy. But I like her mainly for her dancing and personality. But isn’t that everyone’s strategy? Not just JYP?

i agree that kara is unique. they’re not too americanized like wonder girls but not too bubble gum pop like snsd. they have their own style, which is why i love them. i usally don’t have a liking for dsp artists but dsp has really done well with this girl group x] haha.i checked out the kara thread at soompi. haha. sunghee seems to be a player.

It would probably be harder to find Min’s album online because it’s from America. I dont’ see a lot of American artists’ songs for download (except if you use limewire or something like that). Don’t know, maybe I’m wrong and I just really don’t look hard enough. d0=

GAH!!! I love KARA as well! They were my favorite out of all the girlgroups a while back, probably around June or July. But I’ve been so into SNSD lately (and the new WonderGirls). I like them all equally now. But I haven’t been seeing a lot of KARA lately )0=

The news on SNSD is what made me find KARA and WG. For a time I liked one more than the other on and off. Now I like those two equally. And since I am a new fan of SNSD, I watch a lot of them too! Damn, they keep me busy.
swtaznlaydee – Exactly. The perfect blend of everything. And ALL the girls have something about them that you can like equally (though Seung Yun is STILL the cutest~). Sung Hee is such a playa XD She’s had all the girls with her. Seung Yun comes in second though, she hasn’t been much with Gyuri XD
