The last few days been crazy here ever since the MKMF awards posts went up. For all those that were b*tching and moaning that this group shouldn’t won, and that group should have, and that your tired of untalented people. Well people that’s get off our butts and do something about it. Let’s start talking and listening to groups with talent and substance and push these no good, untalented stack of bags out. It probably won’t work since most of us don’t live in Korea, but that’s why we have blogs like this to bring up and coming talent to k-entertainment lovers like your selves. As my part in getting rid of no talents I bring to your attention some with talent to hope that many of you will go out and spread the word, and support them. Mostly the people that don’t get the recognition that they deserve falls in the k-rock category because kpop has taken over everything from award shows, variety shows, and CFs. Well here are two bands that just popped on to the radar that needs some recognition.
The first band is Dear Cloud a five member group made up of three girls and two guys. Now this krock group is getting some attention later mostly because of their first MV, which features a very hot looking up and coming Korean actor Kim Jae Wook (aka the waffle guy).

Yea that dude….*craving for some yummy warm waffles* sorry going off topic. But anyways in my opinion they really didn’t need his help to give notice to their music. Their music speaks volumes for itself, but as a true friend to the group Jae wook decided to give a helping hand to them by using his new found popularity driven from his Coffee Prince appearance.
Dear Cloud’s first title song is “Ice Fortress” or “Ice Bastion” from their album Dear Cloud (Deer Cloud) A house, or Dear Cloud vol 1. released on Nov
here are some other songs to listen to from off their album:
|
And this one has more of an jazzy/blues sound to it….I like it.
|

01. 너에겐 위로가 되지 않을
02. Ice Bastion
03. If that happens tens of thousands
04. You simply a beautiful memory
05. Hi, treasure,
06. Dreams
07. The same person
08. He paints the upper room.
09. Cloud Avenue
10. Words
11. City
12. Fly Fly Fly
I am really like Fly Fly Fly the most, but all the songs are great
The group

Nine (Vocals/Guitar)The female vocalist (yes it’s a female) has an amazing voice. Her voice is on the boyish side which gives her such a unique style, and her style total edgy and boyish.
From the beginning to the end of their album it’s a mellow vibe with a dash of edginess, and splash of jazz to bring everything together. I whole heartedly recommended this album.
I also found this at yt about the group
Now the next group is Kite, which I still don’t know much about because it’s hard to find stuff about them. Either their still in the underground circuit (meaning they still haven’t reached semi-main stream) that I can’t find any info about them or I need a Korean ID number that I don’t have because I am not a Korean citizen.
Anyways thank god for yt(youtube) and the web otherwise we wouldn’t know nothing about K-entertainment. (sorry looked every where that i could for pics of the group only found yt video)
Kite is a five band group like Dear Cloud, but with all guys.

01 Rush 2 The TOP
02 시월희(時月熙) (Restyling Ver)
03 아이
04 Cameo
05 Summer Drill
06 The Boxer On Last Round
07 Prestige
08 넘어진 의자
09 Insomnia For The CAKE
10 양치기 소녀
11 시월희(時月熙)(Silence Ver)
12 Cameo (Inst)
13 Prestige (Inst)
The band’s singer is a little bit nerdy looking, but his voice clearly makes up for it. They just released their album called Kite Vol. 1 “Who M I” (I think it’s supposed to be “Who Am I” but I think they were trying to be funny because of the “m” sound in “am”) on November 9th.
Their titled song is “시월희(時月熙)” (Restyling Version) the second track on their album, and I really like this song. Like Dear Cloud this group’s sound is like soft rock with some edge to it. The vocalist can even hit high pitch tones which you can hear and see in the MV.
The more I listen to their album it reminds me of 80’s American rock music with j-rock mixed in, esp this song “The Boxer on the Last Round”.

These are groups we should be going to war over……not the manufactured ones that are coming out everyday. We need more groups that actually make you feel something (not just in your pants) but in your soul, and that has some substance in it. Now I don’t care who should have won what award or should have more praise than the other. It should be about the music, and not the artist. But that’s just my opinion.
