More K-rock

Since my last post about k-rock I am happy to see that Korean rock is not going unheard. People have been leaving lovely comments and gratitude for giving notice to this much unappreciated genre in Korean music. Some even asked me to do more posts like it, and others asked for info on other Korean rock bands, which I am happy to do. But I will like to say this…. I am not going make it a habit in doing requests because it takes time away from other K-entertainment news I could be doing research and posts about, but please continue to share the bands you love with us to help get their names out there. Here are some that someone requested.

First up is Rocket Diary labeled as Punk Rock. Well now I am not much of a punk rock chick, but these guys are not that bad.

The group is made up of five guys around the ages 21 and 22.

The next band is Suger Donut which is also a punk rock band. This band is has been compared to the American band Weezer for their POP/Punk sound (kind of like happy rock). Which some labeled them as the Asian Weezer (funny).

For those that think that I am a hater of Kpop you are far from right. The thing is that when it comes to music I have standards, but that doesn’t mean that kpop doesn’t have any talented artist. My favorite groups and soloists are: Shinhwa, Fly to the Sky, G.O.D (So Ho Young and Ahn Danny mostly), DBSG, Yangpy, ERU, Big Mama, Wonder Girls, Rain, SG Wannabe, Big Bang, and yes even Super Junior K.R.Y (because their voices sound amazing together) and many more.

Here is a person to look out for coming back into the K-pop scene.

Nemo( real name Oh Sang Eun)

When I came across here MV on yt I thought she sounded amazing, and I don’t say that a lot about female kpop singers(I’m more into the guys’ vocals). Well Nemo is no newbie to the kpop scene because she once was part of the group Shinvi(under the SM’s management)……

but now she is a solo artist under the name Nemo(she is with YG now some say). Why she named herself after a fish….your guess is as good as mine. Maybe it’s because her eyes do look similar to fish eyes.hehehehehe

Anyways Nemo has a single out with two tracks on it.
