Kangta

Last week, Kangta was interviewed; he revealed that he recently broke up with his GF, who could have been his fiancée. He also revealed that they broke up because he wanted to fulfill his duties as a male Korean citizen: military service.

On March 11th during an interview with a Mydaily reporter, he said:

“About one year ago, I passed a sad break-up. I haven’t told this to anyone. Because I didn’t know when I will join the army, I broke up with my girlfriend who was supposed to be my fiancée…

“We both hoped the relationship between us can last, we even thought of marriage, but she had a big pressure with my duty in military service. If we continued like that, it would be more painful for her; she couldn’t wait for more than 2 years. Therefore, we chose to break up.”

Also:

“At that time, I was really sad too. I met a girl I liked, but whenever I think I will join the army, I can’t open all my heart as I want to. I’m the kind of person who has been separated once, I can’t even think of having a new love”.

It explains why he’s disappeared off the face of the planet and why his new album was full of ballads! On April 1st, he will once again disappear to do his military services!
