@jtlangel--well everybody has a story....no one comes from a perfect family, and it doesn't only happen to Korean stars.

look at all the family dramas and environments many American stars come from.

why do all korean artists have tragic stories.. ><
like Yunho - sleeping underneath the train station and working full time when he was still in high school

Hankyung - going to korea to become a gasoo to make $ for his parents. He traveled to a country without knowing the language just so he can make $

Hs mom died of diabetes like a year before his debut. It also had an impact with his relationship with his father and sister. I think he said that they weren't on speaking terms besides the usual everyday greetings. That was until 2004. When he took home the Artist of the Year in 2004, he was really bawling coz that was his promise to his mom.

So, it's really funny and sad at the same time when he mention in interviews that he really really likes food coz he's been deprived of it before.

I was right! I knew purging was in there somehow. Glad you didn't say that he was Bulimic (or else you'll probably get some more heavy debate)...he does have those tendancies, but I don't think this case is classified as bulimia..he didn't do it because of body dysmorphic disorder, and the fear of gaining weight (to lose weight). The whole mentality of "I'll never see such hearty food in the near future." is very unfortunate. I agree, he should have asked for the doggy bad instead of throwing up. But who knows...maybe his eyes were more hungry than his stomach...or maybe like Noddle said, he was an embarassed kid to ask boss-man Mr. JYP if he could bring home the left-overs.

Ah! Finally, we can comment again!
Anyway...
It's really hard to face the harsh realities of life. I could only imagine what he felt about his mother not being treated. Also, he could've been too shy to take home food. At least he doesn't have to throw up now! There's always a refrigerator! Hehe..
