I actually thought both groups did a rather good job but of course snsd has a advantage in bigger numbers.

This blog is anti-soshi so there’s not even a point to asking people what they thought, really. It’ll all just come out as bile.

Honestly, though, I really thought Soshi did a good interpretation of Tell Me, all things considered. WG’s seemed the weaker of the two and that’s probably because they’ve been focusing on So Hot and didn’t have as much time to rehearse (as compared to Soshi who are technically on a hiatus and would have more time). Both performances, though, really prove that WG’s style and Soshi’s style are completely different. They’re both entirely valid, though.

It’s pretty obvous what most people here are going to say. Listen to Kissing You again sung by WG, did you think it was THAT great? None of you think of it as weak? Well of course, being the biased fans that you guys are…

Well on SNSD, I think Sunny’s voice… was really unbareable. And Tiffany did over do her part with those faces. And rapping, Yuri was weak, so of course YooBin owns in rapping.

Lets just say that this is the first time in a LONG time since I heard a great performance of Tell Me vocal-wise.

Soshi’s version of “Tell Me” was so much better. No question.

WG’s version of “Kissing You” was okay. They should have performed longer. Some of the high notes were kinda wtf but they did a good job anyway considering only Sun Ye and Ye Eun can actually SING sing.

honestly…i think those defending adamantly defending WG is being biased. if you look at both performances, its clear that snsd was stronger… and i agree, that was the first time, i heard tell me with strong vocals. i mean, yes, they have greater numbers however only about 6 sang…so it practically evens out. and yuri was a suprisingly good rapper. i thought she was pretty good. given the fact that shes not TRAINED to rap, like yoobin. i mean, WG was good but i wish i saw them come out stronger, though they are probably overwhelmed with everything else going for them right now.

agreed with cutiexstuff. Nobody is bashing WG so I don’t know why WG fans are going all out against SNSD. I think the one who sang Taeyeon’s lines was excellent and So Hee was really cute singing a song like Kissing You (and fairly good vocals from her!). I felt that the other girls looked very mature though and hence made Kissing You a bad song choice for them~ Even though their average age is younger than SNSD, it felt a little like grown women playing dress up. Some of their voices were quite raw as well. Makes me curious how it would’ve been if they had performed GG.

On the other hand, the SNSD girls’ vocals were spot on and for someone whose training probably didn’t involve any rapping, Yuri did very well. Problem with SNSD would be their expressions but I don’t think it took away from the performance too much.

Wow didn’t think this would turn into antoher WG vs. Soshi thing ~ I was just going to comment on the title of the article, “WG Doin parody of Sushi” because it’s not a parody – a parody is something that is done to mimic or poke fun at someone. And that title is quite misleading…seeing as they weren’t making fun of SoShi and SNSD did a perf with a WG song as well.

I think both groups did each other justice – for Kissing You it may seem that they had a lot of background vocals but if you listen carefully those BG vocals were prepared from the original SNSD version (at least that’s what I think) so they powered over Sohee’s voice which is why it didn’t sound like she was singing that much.

It was weird seeing Kissing You performed with so little people…and vice versa for Tell Me with 9 girls haha.

Everyone is BIASED so stop throwing craps at other people. Both of them did well, you can’t really say that this group is better than this group if you haven’t been REALLY following them and watching all of their performances. Let’s be honest, SNSD fans will always praise SNSD and WG fans will always praise WG. So deal with it!

And you must be blind that nobody is bashing WG. Go over to youtube and soshistalker and you’ll see tons of them.

And for the person who said of course Kissing You sounded weaker cuase there aren’t 9 girls. It wasn’t only the chorus that was weak. I think every solo line was consider weak. Except Ye Euns. So having 9 girls has nothing to do with the song being weak.

Yuri’s rap really wasn’t that great for some people to spazz over about [especially on soompi]. In fact, I thought Hyoyeon does it better. But not much people even give credit to her. Either way, nothing compares to the original rap.

i agree this comment. lol Now that I’ve heard the two groups sing each others songs, it makes the difference in vocal ability of the groups a lot more obvious to me. Not saying WG did bad though since I liked their performance.

Dude, the post was aptly titled “WG performing parody of SNSD” because that is exactly what it looked like. WG showed how uber-nauseating SNSD’s song truly is. Poor WG had to act extra fake and flail around unsavory plastic lollipops to produce the perfect rendition of SNSD’s Kissing YOu. So just be grateful that WG was determined to portray SNSD so accurately, unlike SNSD who decided to cringe the entire time and fake their way through Tell Me. Not that I expected much from SNSD.

wonder girl performance was more cheerful and they look enjoy singing the song. snsd performance seems they forced to sing it especially jessica but their vocals are good.

yoona and sooyoung didn’t sing b/c of their tight schedules.
Yoona is the main character for “You Are My Destiny” and
Sooyoung is playing a role movie.
With all their filming, I doubt they have time to practice.

So that’s why they didn’t sing.
In my opinion, I think both groups did really well.
SNSD showed that they have great vocals,
but I they do give off a stiff vibe.

Though some members seem perfectly fine w/the performance.

WG showed great stage presence, and their vocal was alright.
Ye Eun had a little trouble in one of the high notes.
