I’m sad Jae is leaving 2PM. He was really one of my favorite members. I understand how he felt back then. He was young and he didn’t undestand back then. At the same time, if he was a trainee he should’ve known better than to put something like that on myspace. Its okay to feel how he felt, but maybe he should’ve been a little more careful.
I also think he shouldn’t have just given up like that. Thats really sad, I don’t want him to go. Jae’s still my boo!

He spoke about how difficult it is to live in korea, he wrote about conflicting feelings, about helping his fmaily with debt. This is a kid, 17/18 going on about buying nice things for his mom, helping out with debt.

He wanted to live his life as a “kid” and ended up being successful and having that all taken away from him.

I prayed to God for some sort of mercy, because I despise such injustice.

Jay deserves our love and pity, I just hope he gets through this. You guys try to have all your most inner feelings, your pain and your suffering, the times you’re the most vulnerable, exposed to the public, to read, dissect and butchered with translation that are half the time innacurate and lost in transltion.

Jay, I pray that you get all the strength you can, go live those years that may seem wasted now, but will prove worthy in future.

I agree with many of the commenters! Jay is not a WAR CRIMINAL, and not a TRAITOR by dictionary definition… hell, by brain development, he’s still a kid now (since brain fully matures at age 25). Is there any glory in ganging up and bullying a KID? Because that’s what this is… bullying. Nationalism is great but there are many ways to show pride for your country without suicide-wishing and bullying.

Poor Jay. I do hope you find happiness in whatever you decide to do. You were a very talented rapper, singer, dancer and leader. Not to mention a very funny, friendly and entertaining guy. … i’m completely baffled… am i getting this right? after a very old message by a very young jaebeom surfaced about him missing his home and hating being away from his family, generally the korean public turned angry mob [pitchforks and all], so now he has to leave the group?

i get the issue. like i can understand both sides. i hate it when ppl diss my town or my country, basically my home. but the boy was… well a boy. he still is basically. and as i understand it, he was a very young youth when he made that comment. i know i’ve had to bit back raging explitives when friends who just came to study and start dissing how different life here is from where they’re from. but i decided to be the bigger person. telling someone to go kill themselves is not being the bigger person. he apologized already, sincerely from what i gather.

Okay first of all. From his myspace and facebook comments and blogging, it seems to be he is acting like any American teenager which is NORMAL btw. Korea is taking things way too seriously. I guess the blogging destroyed his so called “Korean image” which is Korean gasoos should say nice things, never curse at fans, act proper, write intelligent comments on their blogs. Come ON KOREA!! Get real!!! He is human too. He can’t be perfect all the time. Due to his Korean image being ruined, the netizens are fight back with their witch hunting and bashing. I feel sorry for him. You shouldn’t blame someone for something they did like 4-5 years ago. I guess this is the price he pays to be a celebrity in Korea. People in the US would care less if he was an American star.
