As with the end of year countdown, its always expected to have the Gayo DaeJuns (Song Festivals) take place days after each other for all the main broadcasting stations to show-off  or outdo each other with performances.

There’s always the same performances with the same people on SBS, MBC and KBS shows that you sometimes fail to remember which performance they wore that particularly hideous outfit in, or which one made a fool out of so and so, and which show so and so made you want to puke, etc. And believe me, that has become a staple amongst the shows and the obvious favouritism and lack of creativity/originality is insurmountable on these shows, that not watching them isn’t really going to make a difference.

Not to mention the glitches that shouldn’t be made in terms of technical support… How many mics not working, bad camera work, bad timing or lack of synchronisation is there with these things, eh? You would think that with it being an annual thing there wouldn’t be so many mistakes. Think again.

And that’s why, our wonderful readers and trolls, we’re giving you an account of our thoughts on the worth watching mishaps, blunders and just plain EEEEWSIES (as in EEW, what the hell is going on? That’s gross!) in the end of year Gayo DaeJuns… Where Gayo sometimes means KAyo! (GO! Go! GO! away! in Hangul).

Biggest blunder (possibly of all time) SNSD and their over-exposure (in so many shapes and forms).

Lady Gertrude in Shakespeare’s Hamlet said it best, when you try too hard to convince people of something, it most likely is not true….SNSD and SM “Thou Protesteth Too much” when it comes to claiming that your 9 demons have any talent.  Where the hell are the “Supernatural” Brothers  to get rid of the leeching, talentless, unbelievably un-sexy 9 demons of SM Entertainment?  Opening the doors of the Devil (aka Lee Sooman) really did let out some horrible things unto the World.  LOL.  Every performance was full of mishaps and blunders that lack of time could never account to the hideousness of their performances of their songs and/or special collabs.

Let’s get on to business shall we?

2PM weren’t very good in their past lives, were they?

WooYoung face right there, was his (And most peoples) expression  throughout the whole performance. Enough said.

G-Dragon gets emotional

Probably after watching Wooyoung suffer in the above.

Hes a sweet Hyung he is.

But we all know G-D has had his fair share of bad press (Plagiarism and indecency!) so he lays the blame on the oldest excuse in the book “I got something in my eye”.  Smoke to be exact.

CL shocks

While performing G-Ds track “The Leaders”, 2NE1 leader, CL, wore a leotard of some sort with her underwear sticking out at certain places and had peoples panties in a twist since shes under-age. On the other hand, I don’t know if its those monster heels shes got on, or if its the out-fit or the hair but don’t G-D look teeny?

Boys should stay boys

I’m all for boys performing girls songs and vice versa but there’s a fine line between paying tribute and gay-fantasies.

The drag has got to go. (I thought they were “manly manly men!”?)

I actually thought ShinDong was HyunA for his, SHINee and MBLAQs’ performance of 4Minutes “Muzik”. On the plus side, I thought Key and ShinDong really worked it, and well… MBLAQ boys got the dancing down.

I don’t know what it is about Kwon that gets me in fits of laughter, that guy was made for the stage. 2PM/2AM/BEAST joint stage for Brown Eyed girls‘ “Sign” was good. They got those sleepy/dead looks down right, and of course a little Kwon diva moment in between.

I would have been fine with this performance if there was only less of GAH!ee. What was with that spasm in the end? Like a kick but then half way through her heart stopped beating too early and then, commence toppling.

And ofcourse…

Lil’ CL strikes again with her leaotard-ity!

CLs was the best rendition of this cross-dressing nightmare, hands down.

Mostly due to the fact that she IS G-Dragon, female.

Thats what got a reaction outta me from them liberal (Drag? Good!) SBS folks.

Taemins your Venus

He’s your fire, your desire~

Greek Goddess Taemin decided to go for a futuristic look with his Toga. Thats the only way I can make sense of this out-fit, I have no idea what else it could be but it sure as hell left an impression on me.

But looks pimpalicious with the top hat and fur that he got as a trophy from his day hunting in the woods. Besides Gil owning everybody, he put on an awesome performance with teammate Gary and Jang Giha & The faces (Personally, one of my favourite bands)

JYP decided to spice things up with a “sexy” dance performance with Son DamBi. But we all know it was just an excuse to perform female dance moves on stage.

KBS Gayo Daejun was probably the most versatile out of the three, seeing as it wasn’t as much of an Idol Fest as MBC and SBSs’ were.

After School and Son DamBis performance of “When I grow up” certainly shocked me. I don’t know if Gahee was still hung up over performing “Heartbeat” the day before and that she, and apparently the rest of After School and DamBi, had to constantly pop their chests to regain composure, but what the hell was that?

Is Gahee really fluent in English? Cos’ by the sound of it, shes the worse of the lot.

Looks like JYP wants to re-live his youth through the 2PM boys (The sleazy hip thrusts, oh the sleazy hip thrusts!). DJ Jinyoung looking and sounding like a Cockatoo  really had me distracted, especially with the ad libs (lol) and the pleather (not lol).

I know there was probably a lot more to comment on with last years Song festivals but some performances took a lot to mentally block out (The ones that didn’t have “lol”s in them, just “Wtf?”s) and I would rather not re live them O_O(*cough*MBCs-horridly-cheesy-video-intros/attempts-at-creativity/reminder-of-why-their-variety-shows-are-failing*cough*). Plus, if I had to comment on everything disappointing I’d go on forever (Can somebody say Michael Jackson tributes? Where was the passion, where was the fire?).

So, which Gayo Daejun (No matter how exceptionally similar they were) did you like best?

I don’t know what to really expect but I know the guy, formerly known as AJ, has some decent dance moves and looks like TaeYang.  Also, one guy used to be from Big Bang, so he has reason to hunt him down, goodness knows why… T.O.P do you owe anyone moneys?

The group is full of people that failed to make it first time round, so rejects that have passion baby. And knowing people that didn’t get in first time can still prove to be talented and very very determined, I’m keeping an eye on these fellas. There’s an ex-Xing member, ex Big Bang, ex soloist and two ex- hot blooded boys.. So, an already existing fanbase, nice idea.

With Child of Empire (by the ingenious Star Empire E) coming out soon there should be a lot of boys to keep the girls happy, the boys had their fun earlier this year.

And I really want to write an angry complaint letter to all these production companies with bad names for their groups. It’s getting annoying already, make sense if you’re gonna use English! GAH!

He looks super fantabulous in his fall street look aimed for the older generation. Frankly, its not a look anyone can pull off, but he does it with sheer class (In fact some netizens think he pulls it off better than Big Bang, HAH!).

LOL, I really can’t help smiling looking at these pictures, I love me a man with a sense of humour, and damn it, if he was a few dozen years younger, G-Randpa would so be on my arm right now.

It took a while to see his comeback stage and it’s interesting to see what the Malfoy lover and company YG would churn out for his debut stage as a “brand new GD”, all by HIMSELF, he’s all by HIMSELF!

G-Dracogons comeback was slated for an SBS InkiGayo stage and unluckily for his fans, it’s the last music show of the week.

I LOVE THE RUNNING MAN!

Honestly, I wasn’t that big on the song when it first came out, but the more I hear it, the more I catch myself singing the chorus, including my little sister. Many a time have we run in on each other going “no waay, no waaaaaaaaaay”, and the running man is the most fun move to do, especially when you’re jogging (Yes, not original, but fun). It’s good to see the 80s keep having a large impact on today’s youth, as long as they keep away from the hair. No mullets please. I enjoyed the performance, it’s good to see an artist so involved in their performances, I give props to YG for allowing him to do his own thing. It’s most likely because G-Draco has a lot of involvement in making the music.  (I wouldn’t want SeungRi for instance, dealing with choreo or art direction. That is just my personal opinion).

I do have a suggestion though, I understand the apple influence comes from the similarity of it to the human heart.  Yet there’s always better, less mainstream fruits that could deliver the same message. May I put the poor unpopular fig in to the mix? It’s uncommon, underrated and looks like a heart when you cut it open, perhaps it would add a little more originality to the stage as well?  On stage it would be cool to even squash one in your hand and suck its tasty juices G-Draco… If that is your thing….

And freaky dear, freaky having dancers wear moulds of your face in the first half of the performance. O_O

I could be GDs psychiatrist! He reminds me a lot of my Psycho-Analysis 101 classes. He’s so easy to read and can make complex emotions ever so simple. “Breathe” was worked as an art work on stage, him in bed being suffocated and feeling like the walls are closing in on him.  It started getting a little long though after the intro cut, I feel bad for the people made to do the hand and body prints on the “elastic wall” or whatever, must have gotten tiring.  It looked like a mental institute the more it went on, all the white, GDs facial expressions made it look like a mental pateints’ fantasy.   Still fun I guess, although not as “dreamlike” as may have been intended.

By the by, the set was seriously falling a part by the end of that second performance.

I’m not keen on some tracks in the album, “Heartbreaker”, is the best for me. Some just seem so pretentious but pretentious pretty much stems from cliche, still valid emotions, so I’m gonna let this lad get away with it. It is his first baby being the “new GD” (which so stands for G-Draco), and I thought it would be fun to critique his first performance.

I’m really looking forward to it though, it’s nice to have a “performer” on stage that wants to best represent his/her music. You don’t find them a lot on the mainstream unfortunately.

Although they’re supposed to look like they’re insanely attracted to each other, when I saw the pictures that JiYoung put up on her homepage I couldn’t help but think they were related…

And yes I actually do adore Baek JiYoung and she made us all aware that she needs the money with this new album. Poor darling has to use the underground for travel…

The morning commute is always a bother

JiYoung actually had herself some fun travelling on the trains with all the “normal” people and not to be outdone, our Super Juniors’ ShinDong made a post saying that he can do it too!

Oh G-Dragon! We know what film YOU’VE been watching/looking forward to this summer. A lot of people have been criticizing/gossiping about Big Bangs’ Sir Leader, G-Dragon, regarding his apparently not so original music or image (Plagiarism accusations, HEY YEAOW!). But I think they’ve totally got it wrong when they say he’s channelling Lee JunKi in his album concept, especially after I’ve seen the video…

Lol, his yelping in the beginning strangely reminded me of 4Minute’s HyunAh (AKA HyunAjjuma ).

G-D could play the Asian Draco Malfoy. If there were to ever be a Korean version of Harry Potter, I nominate G-D for the role.

I really really can’t stop watching the Music Video, I don’t know why but his lips…. control me. And not in the good way, that hysterical type of hypnosis way…

But back on topic, the video is so obviously, right-in-your-face literal, its funny. It’s called “Heart breaker” and its set in a heart, this ShaBANG is loving the pun! Other than that, I’m really digging this song and the choreography, watching that skinny boy run on the spot is hilarious.

Although at 3:29 it gets a little… erotic weird O_O

But…. It’s a shame he didn’t don the blue lipstick after all. That would’ve been interesting/a good laugh, and Joey would’ve been proud!

The details of their injuries got me queasy, so I’m not going to go in to detail. The manager and coordinator were hurt as well, and it happened on their way back from filming in the country for Family Outing.

It’ll take the BB cutie and trot King 6 weeks for recovery and no details on how long it will take for the manager and co-di, nonetheless we wish them all a speedy recovery!

It’s all in the eyebrows!

This little cutie, Park WooJin, auditioned for SuperStar K as a hip hopper, and damn does he bare such a great resemblance to Big Bangs TOP.

He was born in 99 and hails from the Eastern port city of Busan, he didn’t continue on the show but here’s to hoping he’ll continue despite the disappointment.

I never thought I would be saying that…ever.

Everyone’s favorite rookie girl group has been getting a lot of attention and love from other celebs.

Yoon EunHye publicly declared her love for the group, SS501 leader Kim HyunJoong is keeping his eyes on CL and now, so will Baek JiYoung. They should fight for her.

I dig 2NE1 as much as the next blogger, but I would much rather listen to their music. I guess it’s because I always get the nagging feeling that there’s a member missing every time they perform. That, and their dancing is not really up to par, which I’m glad they know and will hopefully continue to work on.

2NE1 is rocking it and rolling it and getting a lot of attention from you, your mama and her sisters’ hairdresser. I just want them to start promoting a new song now and for them to get backup dancers who can add to their stage presence, which I feel is only held up by Dara and CL. Minzy lightens up when she does her parts and is probably the best dancer of the group, in comparison to Bom who I just cant help but watch because of her awkward dancing.

CL must be happy that she’s an SM reject, because she’s getting a lot of positive attention as a part of YGs 2NE1, and hopefully more money. (She’s gotta be happy that she’s GDs mini troll clone as well.)

I enjoyed this performance of “Last Farewell” on SBS’s InkiGayo. Vocally, Bom carried the whole thing and the dancing was meh. Thank goodness Big Bangs dances are always fairly simple.

Though odd, I dig Minzys gloves here.

He can X-ray vision your souls

Big Bang have stopped their Japanese promotions for the time being and Mr. GD is in Korea now preparing for his solo release.

One of my favorite songs that Big Bang have ever released has got to be “Lies”, and when I heard that he originally produced it for his solo work, it made me look forward to his own solo endeavours.

It’s been long known that he will be releasing his First Solo album on his birthday on August 18th, and that’s not too long from now. He’s also releasing his album on the same day as producers he knows well, the Brave Brothers, who have done a lot of work with YG. This really does make the end of the summer very exciting with these new albums dropping as the weather is meant to start chilling.

G-Dragons been me2daying (what’s the me2day alternative to tweets?) as well as his label mates 2NE1, and I don’t know about you guys, but I much prefer the Korean alternative. 2ne1s tweets are cool, but when it comes to them, Dara is so my homegirl, I love reading her entries, and I’m not the only one who thinks so apparently… She’s got the most “friends” than any other member of the group.

I have enjoyed G-Dragons me2days so far, not for what’s written but for the pics.

Am I the only one that realised that GDs shirt says “Call 1-800 Troll free” and he’s pointing at CL? LOL! Now, now, GD I like her the least out of them as well, but no need to call her a troll. I don’t know why some people are saying they have chemistry, where the hell is it, if that’s the case? O_O

I love his puppy!!! And Sponge bob looks like he’s about to munch him up, cos he’s so darn cute. I don’t blame him.
