So is it too late for me to post this one up now? of course not. i never meant this piece as news anyway. Just a story to share. but i should tell you before hand, dont expect pictures. google them, or find them from other sites, cos i got no pictures.

Break a neck, ladies!
Sitting in a ridiculously far distance relying purely on the big screen to watch the stage, with ridiculously poor vision (cos I had neither my glasses and contact lenses), and armed with a ridiculously old digital camera (Hewlett-Packard Photosmart435, 3.1 MP, with 2 AA Energizer batteries), this is what I can say…
It was more likely a DBSK concert. Oh yeah, you can definitely see that. Nobody really cared about the foreign artists, well maybe except for W-INDS and Fahrenheit. Which was kinda sad, I mean, they’re not even the best artists in the concert, let alone in ASIA (Fahrenheit just cracked me up with their cracked voice and dancemoves. Me?Harsh?Life is indeed harsh, babes. Go back to the studio and try to catch some tunes.)
Rivermaya, on the other hand, could use some more appreciation –a real band, with instruments and good music. Not to mention, strong voice of the vocalist, and his omigoshed cute face, which uh, as cute as it could be cos, hey, I had blurred vision. And of course Anna Tsuchiya and Agnes Monica. The gals just rocked the stage. Man, I would PAY for their performance.
And Shin Seung-Hun, I guess everyone knows him too well to not appreciate him. He sings like an angel. I didn’t actually see his entire performance, cos I was in the toilet at the time he was on the stage, but that dude made my taking a leak a better experience.
Thus, if I were the organizer, I would do the same, I would definitely put DBSK as the closing performance (but I would definitely write THAILAND instead of THILAND when Peck performed). People simply scrammed right after DBSK had said their goodbyes.
What else do I need to say? Oh, The Lollipoo Troop. Now that I’m sure whoever you are who’s reading this already knew –or about to find out- where I (or shall I say “SYP”?) stand regarding SNSD, you can expect this one to come…
They performed 4 songs. In a medley. Shoot me. Well yeah, they threw away the lollipoos (out of disgust, may I hope) on the second song, but still…telling you, that one (and the only) girl who can really sing should have her own career and leave that group of bullshits.
The Kobbitz Bozo(Berryz Koubou. -ed), or whoever they are, the girlband from Japan, just another thing you can expect from a Japanese girlband. With their anime-ish voices, they performed this cute and entertaining Monkey Dance song. But personally, I was grateful that performance was for free.
SS501 was there too. But im not that familiar with them, so nothing much I can say, and nothing like a performance to remember either. And SHINEE. Man, if there’s a boyband I would care more than other boybands, that would be SHINee. Just because of the Replay, replay, replaaayyyy……
Oh and since I was in a group with other foreigners which were not really familiar with DBSK, I just have to spill this.
“Oh so this is the biggest boyband in Korea? Nice.”
“Nice voices. Better than the other boybands tonight.”
“Thank goodness, they can sing.”
“Shit. Gays.”
There’s only one flaw in the DBSK performance. Yoochun didn’t rip off his shirt. Maybe he was playing it safe in front of 외곡인 (and that is “foreigners” in Korean. see i’m a proud level 1 korean language student.)
All in all, despite the lack of audience and -for some performers- lack of talents, the festival was a good show. It’s nice to see what other countries have in their musical industries. Just that they put some of the better performers before the show had officially started. You know, like before some of those important people gave their speeches. I was expecting to catch 2 PM on stage, but I was too late. And this Malaysian dude who can really sing, Rynn Lim, they put him in the afternoon when not so many people had arrived yet. But like I said, the show was good. Whoever had the idea to make the festival, we gotta thank the person. And whoever had the idea to make it free of charge, we gotta pray to God to place her/him in heaven on judgment day.
Amen.
ps. :’ve told ya, my camera was a crap, but hey, i’ve got this one for you, cassies!

a balloon!yeeeyyy!!the fans dropped tons of balloon from the podium where they sat, and some of these damned freakish rubbers hit my nose. but i managed to catch one! and popped it!
