The stars of the MBC drama “Palace S”, which started airing in Japan last June 9 in Mnet Japan, held a fan meeting on June 15 at 7:00 pm in the Tokyo Public Welfare Annuity Hall. About 2,000 fans were present to see Se7en and Heo Lee Jae.
Before the fan meeting, a press conference was held.
“Because it was my first time acting, it was difficult but I learned a lot from Heo Lee Jae. I am a junior but since Heo Lee Jae is a senior when it comes to acting, she helped me with it”, expressed Se7en during the press conference.
“Since it is his first drama, I shared with him stories about acting in order for Se7en not to be tense”, Heo Lee Jae said.
“I have had many experiences in kissing so the filming the kissing scene was not difficult. But it seems that Heo Lee Jae became tense”, Se7en jokingly said. “During filming, it was tense but if you look at the scene, it was a clean kiss. So it is all good that it went well.”
When people asked Se7en to pick the best scene of “Palace S”, Se7en said “Every scene is precious to me. I can’t really pick just one. Please watch every episode.” Heo Lee Jae also mentioned, “I was very lucky to get a role in this drama, since there was high competition for the heroine spot. I also feel affection for every moment. Please watch.”
There was a question about how they feel about each other’s image in real life. Se7en said “She’s actually very similar to Yang Soon Yi’s character.” Heo Lee Jae mentioned, “Se7en’s very dynamic and energetic. He’s such a professional and puts a lot of effort into everything. I learned a lot from his real life character. It was a good lesson.”
When asked if they would accept an offer to act in a Japanese drama, Se7en answered that it would be a great opportunity and if he has a good part in it, he would, of course, act. “I can act in a Japanese drama if I have already studied a little Japanese”, Heo said, showing her desire.
During the fan meeting, Se7en and Heo Lee Jae shared their experiences about the drama. “I was surprised of the Royal Palace life. I was able to experience Royal decorum education, horseback riding and fencing”, Se7en said. “Studying Royal decorum was difficult. Since my character in the drama has to know about it, I had to study a lot”, Heo shared.
During filming, what was the most difficult part?
“We started filming in November, the height of winter, and it was cold. The laundry scene was the most difficult to film”, Heo Lee Jae confessed.
Se7en shared that during filming he collapsed and got sick.
Heo Lee Jae also spoke about some behind stories about the kiss scene in “Palace S”. She was thinking “When will this end?”, shooting the scene, and there was another NG sign. “It would be tiring for Se7en to do it over and over, but Se7en didn’t express the tiredness. He rather shouted ‘One more time~!!’ in a very cute way. He’s very cute.”
The episode made everybody laugh.Then, the conversation went to their stories about drinking. “I am not really good in drinking and can only handle 3 bottles of hard liquor. Right now, I do not drink because of my schedule but I would like to”, Se7en shared. Then Se7en went on saying that when Heo is drunk, she is very talkative. Then Heo revealed that Se7en is noisier when he is drunk. He sings, dances and his voice becomes louder.
“Polite, clean, nice, romantic”, Se7en answered when asked what her ideal woman is like. “The physical appearance is not that important because as long as I like him, that is already enough. Someone who is quiet and a man who has got good style”, Heo’s answer to what would be his ideal man be like.
About a question about marriage, Se7en said “I haven’t thought about it yet. I will probably do it after being 30 years old. Maybe 7 kids?”
“Not now, but when I already have the person I love, I will do it any time”, said Heo Lee Jae.
In the latter half of the fan meeting, two fans were picked through drawing lots and were asked to go on the stage. They had the chance to eat jjajangmyeon, which Se7en directly fed and also had the chance to take pictures with him. Fans who were not picked were very regretful that they did not have the chance to be on stage with Se7en.
Se7en and Heo Lee Jae even gave gifts to their fans. From Se7en, he gave the gloves and belt he used as a jjajangmyeon delivery guy while Heo gave her hat and shoes that she used during the drama.Then Se7en sang the song “Believe” from his 6th Japanese single album. Fans were all thrilled with his performance and applauded him. “Palace S” is a comical romance about an ordinary man who later learned that he is part of the Royal family.
Se7en is set to hold concerts in Japan this end of June and early July. On June 30, he will be in Nagoya, on July 2, he will be in Osaka and on the 7th and 8th, he will be in Tokyo.
