Now what do we have here? Another Korean celebrity who likes to drink? If anyone is interested in taking Dong Gun oppa home, easy! JUST GET HIM DRUNK! It takes only 10 minutes for him to fall asleep.

A close friend, Gong Hyong Jin, revealed to the public that he and Jang Dong Gun LIKE TO DRINK ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. He made that statement in a KBS show: 14th KBS 해피투게더 (Haebitukedeo).

He also said that he, Jang Dong Gun, and their close friends always hangout and have drinks together. After 10 minutes of drinking, you can hear someone sleeping (or [i]snoring[/i] maybe!); it is none other than Jang Dong Gun. (aww…poor baby) .

Since then, they have nicknamed him “10 Minutes”. Jang Dong Gun said when he feels sleepy, he puts his head on his hand. That is when people can hear his sleeping sound. (definitely snoring!)

Jang Dong-gun, one of the hottest and talented Korean male stars of today is going to make his Hollywood debut very soon. But for some reason I am a little bit worried about the choice of project he signed up for.

This Friday Dong-gun (or should I say Mr. Hottie) is filming in New Zealand alongside Kate Bosworth for the movie “Laundry Warrior”, which is described as a “futuristic action-fantasy story about an Asian warrior’s adventure in the American west.” Oh God~ *shaking my head in hands*. Is this one of the reject movies that Jackie Chan or Jet Lee passed over on? Besides the horrible name of movie that comes across off as a comedy movie name, rather than, and a sci-fi.

The story seems so clichés. Dong-gun will star as a “fugitive warrior who hides out in the badlands” who befriends “a beautiful woman (Bosworth) who dreams of revenge for the abuse she suffered as a child”, and he encounters “a town drunk” too, so you know he is going to be fighting. Does anyone else see the warning signs flashing in their eyes? If that doesn’t worry you well this should. The original lead actress was supposed to be Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, but her PR quickly pulled her out stating scheduling issues. Ah yeah right! I think Ziyi and her people had enough of these kinds of movies being shoved down their throats. Anyone remember the Rush Hour movies, the first one was ok, but why, ~god why~ did they make two and three. GOD!

Oh well, anyways back to Dong-gun. I am really trying to have an open mind on this, but I feel he is getting type cast into the so-called Asian character in Hollywood movies, which consists of Kung Fu master, the villain, the side-kick, or Asian warrior wandering around America for some reason. Hmmm where does his character lay? Oh yeah the last one. For a talented actor who stared in some award winning movies like “Nowhere to Hide” and “Taegukgi” to be reduce into an Asian warrior in America is something really hard to swallow. The movie is being produced by Barrie Osborne who helped produce “Lord of the Rings” and “Matrix”, and directed by Lee Seung-moo. I would have liked for Dong-gun’s first US release to be an independent film that shows his true acting abilities. I just hope this doesn’t hurt his chance at making it big in the US. Who knows this movie might be a big hit, and I am just worried for nothing. *crossing fingers*
