The upcoming film “Antique” Director Min Gyu Dong will star Joo Ji Hoon of “Goong (Princess Hours),” Kim Jae Wook of “Coffee Prince” and others.
According to the production company on the 17th, Joo Ji Hoon will play the “Antique” owner Jin Hyuk who becomes the perfect salesmen with his speech skills, while Kim Jae Wook will play the genius patissier Son Woo to mark his silver screen debut.

Also, Yoo Ah In will play the boxer turned patissier assistant Gi Beom, and Choi Ji Ho who debuted through “Time Between Dog and Wolf” will play the role of Jin Hyuk’s bodycard Soo Young.

“Antique” is the story of love and friendship of four men set in an antique shop that is renovated into a cake shop and is scheduled to be released on screen during the first half of next year.

now, i don’t know why they didn’t add more info about the movie, but reading about the roles and the story, i’m pretty much sure it’s an adaptation of Japanese drama under the same title. I’ve watched it, one of my favorite J-doramas, and a very cool one. 

I don’t know how they’ll squeeze 11 episodes to a standard length movie, and if you’re an avid audience of both K and J drama/movie like i am, you prolly aware of the differences between both, like Koreans are usually more in the pop mainstream than Japanese movie/drama. I just hope they won’t make Antique into a pop movie, coz the original, well, like many good J-dramas, is not really a pop drama.

am i making you confused? coz i think i’m making myself confused.

okay, let’s put it this way. Japanese drama are usually better in qualities than Korean. So i hope they will keep Antique in the same league as the original.

yeah. that’s better.

well anyways. In the original, the 4 leading roles were played by, well, 4 hunks; Hideaki Takizawa, Naohito Fujiki, Shiina Kippei, and Hiroshi Abe. For you who are not familiar with those names , just trust me, poor people, they are drool factors.

Despite the pains he still showed up in his fan meeting on 27th .. without letting his fans know … what a dedicated guy! eh .. or idiot Managers for allow him to show up !? i set my eyes on this matter long time ago, since i saw the fake smoking thing by Kwon Sang Woo in My Tutor Friend (inhale, dammit!) and felt itchy about it. so i tried to find out does he really smoke in the real life (which of course the answer turned out to be no, as i assumed) 

see, i don’t really care about who smokes and who doesn’t. but i found this  one forum where fans are fussing about smoking korean actors, and most of them are talking like it’s so bad that they smoke with,you know, pretty faces and that they are being public figure and people are watching them, smell like ashtray, and bad for health.

LOL  these guys are old enough to buy their own pack of cigarettes and read the warning on the box. i think it’s just a matter of personal choice. that also goes for us the fans.   

as for me, that’s fine. some of them even look hotter when they smoke. even tho i’m not sure how they build those six packs with cigarettes on their mouth. 

so anyway, just in case you haven’t seen any hunkylicious (ewww isn’t that word lame or what) with cigarettes, here i got some for you to see. oh, and about joo ji hoon, after the news spread that he quitted butting fags few months ago, seems like he’s getting back at it coz the picture was taken a month ago. guess this is one of his ways of loosing weight..

Park: Seven is a singer that I like, and I like the actor Bong Tae-gyu. I especially like peculiar characters like Mr. Bong. (SOMEONE KILL ME!)

What conception dream did your mother have when she became pregnant with you?
Park: My mom was in a Korean style house like the one she lived in when she was young. Suddenly it started to rain heavily, and water flowed onto the terrace. Then a red-ripe persimmon appeared. She says that the terrace represents the stage, and the persimmon, me. So she thinks the dream is saying that I will be a big star who is loved by everybody.(laugh)What’s your favorite food?
Park: I’m never picky about food.(laugh) I like Kimchi especially, and I can eat two bowls of rice with only Kimchi as a side dish. My parents come from Jeolla-do, so they are very good cooks. I like everything they make for me.

What do you plan to do on the last day of the year?
Park: I will attend the SBS awarding ceremony. I’m supposed to win the ‘Best Young Actress’ award with Jo Jeong-eun of Daejangguem. It will be a very meaningful day for me.

Tell us about your New Year’s resolution.
Park: I hope I can work in films. I want to see myself on the big screen.

I always ask this for the last question. What’s the most precious thing to you?
Park: My family and my best friend. They always stand by me and understand me. And I also value my cell phone because it’s so important for me to communicate with other people. I never go anywhere without my cell phone.
