The famous actor and singer, Kim Jeong Hoon will resume his singing career by releasing his fourth single album, entitled “Tears”, in Japan on February 20.

The album will contain three tracks; one song has a melancholy mood and the other two will be cheerful songs befitting the atmosphere of the spring.

Kim Jeong Hoon will hold an event in Tokyo on February 27 to officiate the release of his new album. On March 1, he will hold two fan meetings events in Shibuya, Tokyo.

After releasing the fourth single album and holding fan meetings in Japan, Kim Jeong Hoon will return home to Korea.

Here is a part of his recent interview about his new single in Arena 37c, a Japanese Magazine:

Q: Which phrase gives a deep impression of the new single?
A: Besides the content, I thought that the pronunciation of “Cherry blossoms bloom” should be interesting. After repeating the pronunciation a few times, it should be familiar and interesting. At the last phrase “For a long time..scattering of cherry blossoms flowers..” make us hard to forget.

Q: What’s your original impression about “Sakura”?
A: A lady in kimono with a umbrella walking through the cherry blossoms snowstorm.

Q: There’s a phrase “the more i think, the more I’m not able to say” in the song “Love Song”, in your opinion on love, is language very important?
A: Having associated with the woman is a very long time ago…(laughter)

Q: Is it possible to recall..? (Laughter)
A: I’m born in the place that gives people the impression with few words, especially to woman. I gave the impression that I’m very kind but actually I’m a man with little words. There are times I’m lost in words in older times with my girlfriend. I’m the type that make the effort but still can’t express myself…(laughter)

Since it has been quite a while since we posted any news of Kim Jeong Hoon, (I believe none of us wanted to search about him after he became dramakiller) I was told last week that Jeong Hoon deary would be in Singapore the whole of last weekend (arriving on Sat, 15 Dec and leaving on 17 Dec 2007) as a presenter in Stars Award 2007 on 16 Dec 07 at 7 pm and to meet his fans.

The entrance fee for his Singapore fan meeting was S$20 for a 20 minutes session and from the feedback from my friends who attended, it was well worth the wait, money and effort because our Jeong Hoon deary smiled, waved, made eye contact and shook hands with the fans. Furthermore those fans who attended the fan meeting commented that the event venue was cosy so they had a good look at him very comfortably. They commented that he may not be the handsomest but he is very cute and during the translation intervals he would make cute facial expressions, i.e pout, puffed up his cheeks, to keep the fans entertained. In fact, Kim Jeong Hoon is by far cuter in person than on screen!

So last week I was in a quandary whether to make a trip to Singapore again, i.e. twice in the same month (I scooted over to Singapore early this month to watch American born Taiwan singer, Lee Hom Wang in a private concert for free) but finally logic won, Kim Jeong Hoon or otherwise cannot make me go to Singapore again!

The brief interviewed at the end, he announced that his 4th Japanese album will be released in February 2008, he has no particular preference either singing or acting as he likes both and he wished he would one day be awarded the best newcomer because it is an award that he has yet to receive.

Jo In Seong vs. Kim Jeong Hun.
Having been observing the above two Korean heart-trobs who are my No 1 and No 3 Kfavs, respectively, they are as different as chalk and cheese! In Sung is manly, fair, tall and handsome whereas Jeong Hoon is girly, darker complexion, not as tall and pretty!

Jo In Seong is a sweet talker and always politically correct in his replies to the press, to the extent that he almost never gives his opinion, treading carefully so as not to offend or tread on toes of people. At the ’Hanryu Romantic Festival 2007’ was held on 23 June at Japan Goodwell Dome, he was introduced as the one who sweet talks the most. Gong Yoo explained, “although I am not sure how he is towards women, Jo In Sung sweet talks to his seniors and juniors. If you ask him where he is now over the phone, he will reply “I am in your heart, hyung (older brother).” (laughs).

Kim So Ra who acted with Jo In Sung in Madeline, echoed the same comment when talking about Jo In Seong during an interview last year.

After the controversial ending of Korean drama: What Happened in Bali where the character he played Jang Jae Min shot the other two lead characters and then shot himself on his head on the beach in beautiful Bali, Jo In Seong was asked whether he would have preferred the drama could have ended in another way, he said something to the effect that he is a junior in the industry, so the writers ended the drama correctly.

To illustrate his usual non committal replies, Jo In Sung was quoted as saying in the above Hanryu Romantic Festival when he was asked the question “which role does he feel closest to his real self”, Jo In sung threw the question back to the audience and asked them “which role is the most similar to me??” Most of them answered “Jung Jaemin in What Happened in Bali” and he received cheers from the audience when he replied wittingly “yes I feel the same way as everyone”.

The instances where he spoke candidly were his comments about the two female co-actors whom he worked with closely, i.e. the recently married Park Kyung Rim (Jo In Seong played her love interest in the Non Stop series, it was comical just watching them together, he was younger, handsome and tall and she was short and squat in comparison) and Ha Jiwon, (in What Happened in Bali). When he was first introduced to Park Kyung Rim´s fiancé, he thanked (tongue in cheek) him for rescuing all the other Korean men by marrying Park Kyung Rim. On Ha Jiwon, he said that she was like a man (I need to clarify what I think he meant was during the shooting of Bali, the crew went out for drinks and Ha Jiwon had never refused an invitation to drink with the guys) but he respects his Jiwon nuna and both of them mutually agreed during separate interviews that they wish to work with again. They kept in touch even after Bali ended and she advised him on his acting in A Dirty Carnival. (watch these 2 actress in the clips in my previous post, in the link below)

Jo In Sung was told he would not succeed as an actor

Jo In Seong will be celebrating his 26th Birthday this Saturday, 28th July. I do not know how he will be celebrating it but it can be quite sure his side kick, Kim Ki Bang (the short stumpy kitchen helper who did the butt wriggling dance in the Jin Hyeon´s restaurant aka Xman in My Name is Kim Sam Soon) and Gong Yoo (his gym and drinking buddy) could be drinking with him provided he could tear himself away from shooting Coffee Prince.

On the other hand, Kim Jeong Hun bores us with so much details in his lengthly interviews and he loved to regurgitate the story of his mom sending him out of the house naked during winter (before anyone getting excited, he was 5 years old). I liked the best about him being caught using the Ladies Toilet because the Gent´s toilet ran out of toilet paper. So logical and true to life happening that I could related with. I too have used the Gents when the Ladies toilet was occupied. I guess it is his way to tell such embarrassing news himself before they get reported out of context by gossips! Smart strategy. (NB: Baby cheeks has changes his earrings from diamonds with gold settings to sapphire with platinum. Hmm, those dark blue sapphires are typically from Thailand!)

Those who are fanclub or had followed Thailand visit news of Kim Jeong Hoon this time should know that he didn’t come alone as usual. “As a chance to visit Thailand, I intend to come to work and take my parent for a trip as well.”, he said. So to attach yourself to his parents (approach the son via the parents), OK! magazine (“OK”) had been allowed from the organizing team to introduce ourself to the father, Kim Shoon-Myeoung, and the Mother, Jung Jung-Bun, of the excellent son, Kim Jeong Hoon in very exclusive way. A little bit describing, “A tree is known by its fruit.” seems to be real for him particularly his sincere smile which is completely cloned from his parents.

OK: How do you feel that your son already became the famous star who are well-known across asia?
PARENTS: [Dad shinely launged prior to letting Mom to answer] It could be simply said that thanks to everybody who give love and chere our son. We’re very pround of him.

OK: Have you ever thought that he would be very famous?
MOM: Actually, we had never thought of it but as the parents, we’d put on a little hope that he would become a famous star though we had not expected his fame acoss asia like this.

OK: What about Thailand have Jeong Hoon told you?
MOM: Not only for jobs, Jeong Hoon really like Thailand. He usually tells that Thailand is beautiful and a good place for travelling.

OK: How is Jeong Hoon?
DAD: He has very high responsibility. Since he has been young, dad and mom have never told him what he should do. He is responsive and does everything on his own.

OK: Is it difficult to look after him?
DAD: No, he is quite a good boy, not stubborn, polite, and obeys his parents. He has almost never made any trouble to cause serious concern.

OK: Has he showed the potential to be the star since he was young?
MOM: No. Dad, mom, and himself had had the dream since he was young that he would be a scientist.

OK: Had you been shocked when he came to say at the first time that he would be a star-singer?
MOM: Initially, I’d opposed to it but our family allows for freedom in thinkg; therefore, I had not forbid anything but hope that he can perform well as singer-star and scientist as he intends to be.

OK. Does he have brother or sister?
MOM: I have 3 children. Jeong Hoon is the youngest. He has 1 brother and 1 sister.

OK: Have Jeong Hoon’s brother and sister thought of entering entertainment career?
MOM: This is unknown but one thing to tell, everybody are good at singing (sweetly smiled)
DAD: Whispering, the children sing well like mom (mom denied and smiled shinely).

OK: How do you support him?
MOM: Jeongh hoon does not like to lister to anyone’s muttering but he has his self responsibility so what MOM can do for him is to make him happy and confident in us.

OK: What do you worry most about this son?
MOM: It should be his health and I want him to be less greedy.

OK: How’s about a daughter in-law? Have you aimed at anybody?
MOM: Have not yet thought of it.

OK: Does she have to be Korean?
MOM: If it’s possible, I would like her to be Korean.

OK: Do you keep your son’s picture in the pocket?
MOM: Most picture are kept at home but the one I carry is the mobile strap with Jeong Hoon picture [turned to open the handbag]. This one was sent by the fanclub. [see the above pic.]

OK: Do you know that many Thai girls like Jeong Hoon?
MOM: Actually, feel thankful to Thai fans who give many supports to our son.
DAD: I’d never thought that there are so many fans who like him. Now it’s the responsibility of my son to work harder as a return to everybody especially for girls fanclub who always give him supports.

OK: What is the teaching that you always tell him?

Kim Jeong Hoon yesterday said that he will terminate his contract with his management company. Korean News site, Newsem, reported that before Kim Jeong Hoon attended The Hallyu Romantic Festival 2007 last Saturday (the 23rd), he said that, “we were already unable to trust and cooperate again” and because of that, he respectively proposing a notice to end his contract with his Eight Peaks management company. In the future, he plans to work as an individual, his identify continues to wander in the entertainment circle; Eight Peaks then expressed they still have time to consult, but does not plan to resolve outside of court.

Because of filming for Korean-Chinese joint drama, Love Strategies, Kim Jeong Hoon yesterday (the 25th) went to Shanghai to film. Because he and Eight Peaks has a one year contract that isn’t up yet, therefore legal dispute is extremely high.

The day before yesterday, Eight Peaks came out and spoke. “Lately we received Kim Jeong Hoon’s contract content proof notice regarding ending the contract, but we still have space for consulting. Kim Jeong Hoon and the management company has some misunderstandings, we will try our best and strive for a satisfactory solution. If we are unable to solve it, we will go for legal actions. Kim Jeong Hoon expressed, “Sooner or later we will make a response, right now I will focus on the plans for filming the drama. He has not released any info on the misunderstandings between him and Eight Peaks.
