Shin SW to Hold 1st Concert in Japan
Singer cum actor Shin Seong-woo will hold his first solo concert in Japan October 21 at the Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo.
He first became known to the Japanese audience through his dramas ‘First Love,’ ‘Wild Funny Girl,’ and ‘Man in Crisis,’ after which he released a photo album in Japan. He also held three fan meetings in Tokyo, Osaka and Hiroshima and participated in a Korea-Japan arts exhibition.
But the upcoming concert is another step forward, as it is not only for his fans but for the general public.
His management agency Orange Note says that the concert was proposed by K-Wave, which has organized many K-POP singers’ concerts such as the K-POP Super Live. K-Wave says it thought over the offer for over a year. Noting that dance songs and ballads comprised most Korean concerts held in Japan until now, it says Shin’s concert will showcase Korean rock, as rock music rules the J-POP market.
In fact, it hasn’t been long since Japanese fans first became aware of Shin’s singing career prior to becoming an actor. The fact that he is also a singer came to the fore after he released the album ‘Encounter’ in September, after a 6-year hiatus.

i never knew about this..LOL..maybe some of you familiar with this guy. me myself only saw him in Special Of My Life and Secret Agents (or something like that) a drama where he played together with Eric. He was a very charismatic agent with very charismatic body ;)

I’ve been complaining the last couple of weeks and everyone has been feeling the same way about Kpop. Maybe I can help put a smile on your face and put our complaints to the side and leave them behind. I have been talking to Shen and we decided that we are going to start introducing new artists to you guys. It will be one day out of the week where we feature them so not to mess with the flow of the blog and you know we are always looking for your help.
Looking for artists you stumble across a little bit of everything and why is it always the people you never hear of they are the ones with the best work some really unique and heartwarming music. This past weekend I was working and met a Jazz Artist by the name of Kenny Garrett. He has a wikipeida page but I had no idea who he was so I talked to him like I would talk to anyone else, this individual has worked with legends and has produced work that only he could do. The reason why I say this is to help you understand that whats always mainstream or heavily advertised and commercialized sometimes is never the best music you will find. We live in a time where people tell you what is good music and as a result we may miss out on what others have to offer but its there you just have to look harder. So whats the situation with Krock? Its so hard to find any information on these artists but we are looking. I especially am finding myself amazed at how these Krock artists sing and it really puts a smile on my face. They make music that I can play over and over and over again and it never seems to get old. So I stumbled across this group called Nell and I will put whatever I could find right here but thanks to Imeem you can also hear them. I hope you enjoy and help me find more information on them and lets make a Wiki page for them.

Nell is a band with an appealing power to music lovers with their unique sound and color accompanied with lyrical words. The band is made up of 4 members who were all born in 1980. Kim Jong-wan is the vocalist and guitarist of the band who writes all the music and lyrics for the band. Lee Jae-kyung plays the guitar, Lee Jung-hoon plays the bass guitar and Jung Jae-won plays the drums. First formed in 1999, the rock band re-named itself “Nell” after the title of a movie in which Jodi Foster starred.
Mainly performing in the clubs around the Shinchon area, Nell released two albums in the Indi music scene. The first one is “Reflection of Nell” released in January of 2001 and the other is “Speechless” released in September of the same year. Their hit numbers from the two albums are “Words That Shouldn’t Be Trusted,” “Already Said and Done,” “A Somewhat Sad Story” and “The Rain of Leaves.”
The turning point for Nell’s musical career was after the band participated in the rock festival designed by Seo Taiji, the 2002 ETPFEST and joined the Goesoo Indigene Label. The Goesoo Indigene Label was established by Seo Taiji in order to stir up a change in the local pop music scene dominated by a few genres of music. After preparing for more than a year with Goesoo Indigene, Nell released their major debut album “Let It Rain” in June of 2003. Recorded at the G.I. Studio specializing in rock music, the album was evaluated to display great sound along with beautiful lyricism that deliver a clear color of sorrow.
Nell also performed in various live stages including “Nell’s Private Room”, a unplugged concert held in November of 2003. The band also participated in the “2004 Live Wire” in January, 2004 and accompanied Seo Taiji in the concert held in Vladivostok, Russia in
May, 2004.
