Lee Hyo-ri, a pop diva known for her curvaceous body, declared last week that the new focus of her life will be books. Lee, who is the definition of sexy in Korea, spent eight years to earn a bachelor¡¯s degree from the four-year undergraduate program at Kookmin University. Now she has entered the Graduate School of Journalism and Communication at Kyung Hee University. She will be majoring in media studies and social science. Lee will join other celebrities at the graduate school, including actor Jeong Joon-ho and singer Kim Tae-woo of the disbanded boy group g.o.d.
Lee said in recent media interviews that she has no plans to star in any TV dramas for a while and wants to focus on her master’s degree. She starts her first semester at the graduate school in September. She added that she would have some time to herself at the graduate school. Lee has had very little private time for herself ever since she made her debut as a member of the idol band Fin.K.L in 1998. She then went on to pursue a solo career.
However, Lee is still making headlines in tabloid newspapers following her latest photo shoot, in which she wore a revealing bathing suit, for a fashion magazine.

Hyori on the 15th performed her song title “SLAVE” (didn’t Britney had a song with the same title?) in Fradia art cultural open party in Seoul. Funny enough the reports called it a “brilliant performance” and that she drew attention to “a different charm pattern” of hers! Bet the reporter was a guy!
We knew her as a sexy singer, but this is not sexy anymore!

Blog Hacker Threatens Singer

It is not only malicious comments on the Internet that irritate stars. Hacking of stars’ blogs is more bothering, as their private life and personal information can be leaked and sometimes used for a crime _ like a recent case involving BoA.According to the police and S.M. Entertainment Friday, a 23-year-old college student was arrested for hacking a blog of singer BoA and blackmailing her, threatening to spread her private photos.
The student, identified as Seo, sneaked onto BoA’s Cyworld blog in April 2006 and obtained photos that she took with a male singer. He sent e-mails to her manager to threaten that he would release the photos if they did not provide money. He took 35 million won.
S.M. Entertainment said in a press release that the victim was BoA and the male singer was Ahn Danny, former member of pop group g.o.d., and the two have been close friends.
“Seo threatened to spread a rumor that was not factual, and BoA’s manager tried to catch him by contacting him and giving him money,” the entertainment company said.
Seo also sent e-mails to Ahn and his manager on over 10 occasions earlier this month, demanding 65 million won in exchange for not spreading the photos and the rumor. The police investigating BoA’s case traced the e-mails and caught Seo, according to the police and the company.To hide his identity, Seo sent the e-mails with pop star Lee Hyo-lee’s e-mail address that he obtained five years previous when hacking Lee’s Web sites.
SK Communications, operator of Cyworld, said the police found that Seo did not break into the Web system but logged into the blog with a password that he guessed from BoA’s information open to the public, such as date of birth.
However, whether through hacking or logging in with IDs, it is not the first time that stars’ blogs with personal information are disclosed, and pressure is mounting that people need to respect stars’ privacy.
In April, a personal blog of KBS anchor Choi Dong-sok was hacked and his photos with his girlfriend and anchor Park Ji-yoon were posted on the Internet. The photos were personal and the two reported the leakage to police.
“Public attention to stars is excessive and is reaching a law breaking-level,” an Internet user with the ID “Jiyeong” said on Daum.

Lee Hyo-ri To Attend Grad SchoolSinger/actress Lee Hyo-ri has been accepted by Kyung Hee University’s Graduate School of Writing, joining fellow-entertainers Jung Joon-ho and god’s Kim Tae-woo.
Lee graduated from Kookmin University with a BA in Theater and Cinema last year.
Lee was in Japan from the 2nd-6th to promote her drama “If In Love…Like Them” and appeared as a surprise guest at SG Wannabe’s Tokyo concert.
WHAT THE HELL!!!! It’s NOT even 16th of June! … ppl, let’s go to Korea for Graduate school then … How cool are they, they let out the result before hand the actual date?

HYORI-shi has revealed recently that she applied for media art graduate program of KYUNG HEE COLLEGE FOR GRADUATE SCHOOL! The result of her interview with the college will be announced on June 18th. She completed her undergrad on February 2006 after 8 years.
Okay, I wish she had waited for the result to come out and then announce it .. what will happen if they reject her? OPSI … oh wait, maybe she went ahead and announced the news to public hoping the school will find no other way than letting her in? LOL~ BTW second version of Black Bean Therapy CF came out!

I’ve been complaining the last couple of weeks and everyone has been feeling the same way about Kpop. Maybe I can help put a smile on your face and put our complaints to the side and leave them behind. I have been talking to Shen and we decided that we are going to start introducing new artists to you guys. It will be one day out of the week where we feature them so not to mess with the flow of the blog and you know we are always looking for your help.
Looking for artists you stumble across a little bit of everything and why is it always the people you never hear of they are the ones with the best work some really unique and heartwarming music. This past weekend I was working and met a Jazz Artist by the name of Kenny Garrett. He has a wikipeida page but I had no idea who he was so I talked to him like I would talk to anyone else, this individual has worked with legends and has produced work that only he could do. The reason why I say this is to help you understand that whats always mainstream or heavily advertised and commercialized sometimes is never the best music you will find. We live in a time where people tell you what is good music and as a result we may miss out on what others have to offer but its there you just have to look harder. So whats the situation with Krock? Its so hard to find any information on these artists but we are looking. I especially am finding myself amazed at how these Krock artists sing and it really puts a smile on my face. They make music that I can play over and over and over again and it never seems to get old. So I stumbled across this group called Nell and I will put whatever I could find right here but thanks to Imeem you can also hear them. I hope you enjoy and help me find more information on them and lets make a Wiki page for them.

Nell is a band with an appealing power to music lovers with their unique sound and color accompanied with lyrical words. The band is made up of 4 members who were all born in 1980. Kim Jong-wan is the vocalist and guitarist of the band who writes all the music and lyrics for the band. Lee Jae-kyung plays the guitar, Lee Jung-hoon plays the bass guitar and Jung Jae-won plays the drums. First formed in 1999, the rock band re-named itself “Nell” after the title of a movie in which Jodi Foster starred.
Mainly performing in the clubs around the Shinchon area, Nell released two albums in the Indi music scene. The first one is “Reflection of Nell” released in January of 2001 and the other is “Speechless” released in September of the same year. Their hit numbers from the two albums are “Words That Shouldn’t Be Trusted,” “Already Said and Done,” “A Somewhat Sad Story” and “The Rain of Leaves.”
The turning point for Nell’s musical career was after the band participated in the rock festival designed by Seo Taiji, the 2002 ETPFEST and joined the Goesoo Indigene Label. The Goesoo Indigene Label was established by Seo Taiji in order to stir up a change in the local pop music scene dominated by a few genres of music. After preparing for more than a year with Goesoo Indigene, Nell released their major debut album “Let It Rain” in June of 2003. Recorded at the G.I. Studio specializing in rock music, the album was evaluated to display great sound along with beautiful lyricism that deliver a clear color of sorrow.
Nell also performed in various live stages including “Nell’s Private Room”, a unplugged concert held in November of 2003. The band also participated in the “2004 Live Wire” in January, 2004 and accompanied Seo Taiji in the concert held in Vladivostok, Russia in
May, 2004.

Lee Hyo-lee Says Secret Weapon is ‘Sex Appeal’
“I’ll seduce Japanese fans with my sexy looks,” promised Lee Hyo-lee, revealing her strategy for cracking the Japan market. Lee was speaking at a press conference on Monday at the Hotel Okura Tokyo in Japan ahead of the launch on Fuji TV CS of her soap “If in Love… Like Them.”
“There are a lot of talented female singers in Japan, but I think my bright and healthy image is my trademark,” she said. “I bring spontaneity and naturalness to my performances, instead of simply following a script. Wouldn’t Japanese men like it if I appeal to them with sexiness? Sexiness is my weapon.”
When asked why she didn’t enter the foreign market earlier, Lee said, “A great opportunity arose when I moved to a new agency. Before, it seemed like a bad idea to toil for years as an unknown overseas. It’ll be easier to enter the Japanese entertainment industry once my drama is broadcast in Japan.”
Lee didn’t seem to mind being compared to Koda Kumi, one of Japan’s top pop divas. “Being compared with Koda doesn’t feel too bad,” she said confidently. “I watched one of her concerts on DVD and I saw some similarities in our styles. Comparing us is a win-win situation for both of us.”Also at the press conference was Lee’s co-star Lee Dong-gun and director Cha Eun-taek, and Lee discussed the rapport she built with her leading man. “Lee Dong-gun never referred to me as his elder, he called me by my name,” she said. “I don’t know why, but it feels fine for me for a younger guy to call me by my name, and not ‘nuna’ (elder sister).”
As to the future of her acting career, Lee said she needs a little time off. “I got a lot of offers for movies and TV, but I’m so exhausted after working so much this year — I’m planning to take a break to study.”

Another night of concert with SG WANNABE … and what do people don’t do for money .. or is this meant to cause more jelousy and heart ache for already broken heart of Lee Jun Ki? and apperently they like hyori so much that they wanna have her in their Japanese Tour too! Hmm wonder why?!
