Since Fabia.O can’t bear to talk about these girls (well, four of them are) anymore, I thought I’d check them out.

And then I realised why I didn’t check f(x) out in the first  place…. Check out their debut M/V… “LA chA TA”? (AHAHAHAH, it’s like those kids online tHaT WriTe LikE tHiS)

Whats with the side kicking in the beginning?… Well, at least its classier than forward kicking with skirts on(cough-SNSD-cough)

OH! How I cringed in the beginning. The song makes no sense to me as well, and the whole random semi-circus theme… wtf? I see what they’re trying to do but it just ended up looking really messy in the end, and the crappy song doesn’t help.

Also looking at the pictures of their showcase, all I could think was “Is that 4Minute gone a little slaggy?”

The more I look at Amber, the more I think shes just a JiYoon (4Minute) rip-off but manlier (And is it me, or does she, Amber that is, look a little like Big Bangs T.O.P?). While JiYoon is a tomboy yet still feminine, Amber on the other hand looks like a very confused him-she and even plays the role of a guy in the song (Listen to the rap O_O).

We know who she was based on now…

And my favourite androgynous female in Kpop will always be Lexy (Where is she anyway?).

Eh, I see no pizazz with this group, they’re dancing in the music video isn’t even in-sync, and that’s supposed to be the most precise. And by the looks of it, their vocals aren’t that great either, Luna’s the most decent out of them all, even the supposed  “Amazing dancer”  that is Victoria Song. And God knows how they’re going to be live, with the track record that SM has, especially with females (Well, to be fair,  just SNSD, they still can’t get it right to this day), but we’ll see, eh?

All in all, they’re pretty bla to me.  Anybody give a damn?

K-Pop: Sexy Stars Versus Sweet Girls

Lee Hyo-lee’s reign as K-pop’s hottest is being challenged by singers like Ivy, Chae Yeon, and Seo In-young.

Lee sent temperatures rising in 2003 when she made her debut as a sexy singer. Many female singers have since tried to follow in her footsteps, pushing the limits of sexiness with barely-there outfits and hot dance moves.

Lee is still a top fashion icon and sought-after product endorser, but she seems to be looking for a new direction for her career. She appears in several ads as well as sizzling spreads showing off her gleaming skin and curves in fashion magazines like W and Cosmopolitan.

Earlier this year, there was a backlash against her sexy image. Her recent mini-drama “If In Love … Like Them” failed to draw in audiences. Lee has also not been paying much attention to her music career, only releasing a digital single album last March.

While Lee struggles, several female K-pop singers are making their move. Some are going for the hardcore sexy image, while others are keeping it sweet.

Leading the pack of sexy singers are Seo In-young and Chae Yeon. Seo, a former member of girl group Jewelry, who has generated controversy with her barely-there costumes and hot dance moves. At the Dream Concert last weekend, she even gave a pole-dancing performance.

Chae Yeon also doesn’t balk at being branded as a “sexy singer.” She has recently been performing her latest dance single “My Love,” while wearing low-slung mini-skirts and cropped tops.

While these divas have been trying to outdo each other with sexiness, there is another group of singers who are downplaying their sex appeal. Ivy, Lexy, Hyun Young and Banana Girl are still making waves in the music scene with their unique personalities.

Ivy may have made her debut with a sexy image last year, and helped popularize hot pants that showed off her beautiful legs. This year, Ivy is focusing more on showing her strong voice and keeping her clothes on.

 

 Banana Girl scored a hit with “Chocolate,” a pop song perfect for her cute image.

It may have helped her career more, since she was chosen as the opening act for international pop superstar Christina Aguilera’s concert in Seoul this weekend. She is also preparing for her solo concert “Ivy & Present First Concert” on June 30 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium.

Lexy is going the opposite route of sexy with a tough tomboyish image. The hip-hop star released her third album “Rush” last April.

Hyun Young is making the transition from actress to perky pop star. She looked like a Barbie doll with blonde hair and pink clothes, for her almost-comical music video “Love Revolution.” Her remake of Japanese group Morning Musume’s song is climbing the charts.

Banana Girl’s cute, fresh look and catchy song “Chocolate” is also making a splash in the music charts.

Goodness Gracious! It’s not even a week since the last time (out of million times already) we heard YG comes out talking about how Se7en’s US debut is gonna be a success…I though he heard us and for the heaven’s sake SHUT UP! But we were so wrong people! Now seems like he even makes other a artists in his company to run around the industry and make similar announcements?! I hope he for once thought about what if …. for whatever reason that debut turned out NOT A SUCCESS! With all the sky high expectations he built in public … that guy’s emotional state (should we remind him about the recent outcome of his acting debut?) is not gonna be predictable! Or is it?! It’s funny that with all the connections that man JYP has in US and the activities that he already started for Rain … Rain still comes out talking about his possible failure! Now look at that YG!? Doesn’t he make you laught? Or cry? In my case both AT THE SAME TIME!

annnnnnnnd a much better news! Seems like YG is not gonna pay for making a new song for him O_o I knew it!!!! the way LEXY said ” US single WAS produced by the famous Rich Harrison” so that means he will debut with that ” My name is 7… at back of the club thingy? ” see? Didn’t I tell you?

“I am sure Se7en will succeed in the US. He is currently busy preparing for his overseas activities”, said Lexy, who held her 3rd album showcase during Se7en’s concert at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium last April 7. By June and July, Se7en will be busy with Japanese promotions and after which, he will be busy with his US debut. His US single was produced by the famous Rich Harrison.

Seven’s 747 concert last saturday has ended successfully. Thank you to everyone who attended.. bows~ [ *looking around* YG BOWS? SE7ENS FANS? What is this a dream?]
I felt weird to see Seven performing on stage again. [ why? ]
I kept thinking that this might be the last time for awhile to see seven on stage. T T [Oh, Don't cry YG man, Ken cha na Yo, at least you can see the guy every day T_T look at us!]
Seven will be going to Japan for two months, June and July, for his promotion and will be staying in America for awhile.
Not so long ago, Seven’s song which we were going to put on his single album was leaked. We got the information that they were passing it on the Djs and somehow got up on the internet.
There’s been a better news, Seven will be making new songs with famous singers and famous producers and things have been getting better. [ehmm a question! Mr. YG man...Have You EVer Kept A secret?]
Seven’s 2007 747 DVD will be released around June.
We will include Seven’s remix songs and will include a CD with the DVD. We will include the LALALA remix before so that you guys won’t get bored of waiting. [ I already put the remix on the blog! ]

LEXY

We introduced a new song during Seven’s concert.
Lexy’s new title song “above the sky” has received a good amount of support.
I’m really nervous to let out Lexy’s 3rd album because after Lexy’s 3rd album gets released, we’ll be letting out new YG female singers. [OH YEAH?]
We focused more on Lexy’s rapping this time. “above the skies” is a fast beat hip hop song. We put little mixes in so that it’ll be more entertaining. I’m happy with his song and the music video is coming out great too. [Great! great! YG sees everything GREAT! pfewwww]
We saw that other female singers are going with the ballad so we had lexy’s song fast and fun to listen too. Also, the album’s title is “Rush” ^^ [what's with the face?]
Lexy’s 3rd album will be let out april 19th and she will appear first through MBC music core on the 21st. We will also let out the video. [ you mean release it? hahahaha LET OUT?]
Lexy went through a hard time after her 2nd album not being so good

PARKBOM

Park Bom’s first album is planned to come out this fall, but we are thinking of releasing a song and few pictures around May.
We are first going to release it through online, Parkbom’s title song has been made by Park Jin Young and it’s called “Scarecrow”. This is probably the first time a YG singer sings a song made by JYP. ["SCARE CROW? OMG!!!!!! you guys know that I always call JYP scarecrow right! Mommy .. her reads my blog? WHAT TO DO?! hahahhahhahah]
I’m close with JYP, DJ DOC, and Psy but a few months ago, i was joking around with JYP and asked him to write a song for park bom but he really did. For free too. ^^ [OH SO THAT"S WHAT IS GOING ON! see i told you ppl, YG sleeps with his Piggy bank! see I'm right!] I felt that being a sunbae was really nice but when I meet Psy it’s not so pleasent. He always asks me to eat out and I’m the one that has to pay T T [ I really feel you man! with kinda character you have .. probbaly you have nightmares the whole week after that! O.o]

Anyways, when i first heard “scarecrow” i felt it was going to be good. It has a great feeling of Park Jin Young and a very nice SLOW song. [anddddddddd IT'S FREE]
He has completed this in between his busy schedule but i never had the chance to say thanks so i’d like to take this time to say thank you to Park Jin Young.

Oh yeah~ One day, Park Jin Young called me from America and said “Hyung~ this is big news.” He says that Kim Gun Mo will be releasing a song named “scarecrow” too. We were going to change it but deceided to leave it alone.
It’s an honor for Park Bom…^^

Kim Jieun

I’ll like to thank everyone who participated it naming Kim Jieun. I was suprised at how much support she received.

The sad news is, we didn’t get the chande to pick her name. I’m so sorry for the delay of her debute. We picked three people who participated in the name picking and we’ll send them a i-pop nano, Big bang’s sign CD and Lexy’s sign CD…
I personally went out and bought the MP3 player… ^^
Although we don’t have a name for her, we’ll be releasing her beginning of May.
YG’s only actor GoHaeSun has contributed on KimJiEun’s m/v I met the producer and he says the they went to Busan and filmed for two days and it was really hard. I heard GuHaeSun was sick afterwards. [notch notch notch]

I told her that it’ll be a easy scene… I think I have to avoide Haesun for awhile T T
KimJiEun has contributed in Lexy’s song too but she has featured in a lot of YG artist songs. She has the ability to freely sing high and low tones. She is well prepared for live stages
We have three m/v so far including the m/v we let out awhile ago. Currently, we are planning to have “AhnDweNaYo” as the title song which has been composed by LeeJunHyun and KimJiEun, herself.
It’s already been 4 years since she’s been in YG T T
she’s finally debuting.

Lexy, park bom and kim jieun will be coming out between a month
