Rating : Hilarious!! Really gives me good laugh!

I couldn’t stop laughing when i watched this movie, really!! Gosh, the actors are good, they have the funny expressions, and sometimes the hilarious expressionless face…now i’m giggling for just remembering the movie..
the movie is twirling around 5 (so-called) adults and a kid, the bunch live in a town, that seems like no one else wanders around there but them.

The first adult is the first Mr. Kim (Shin Hyun Joon), the Taekkyon master, who’d rather speak than fight, and flee, when the speak won’t do. Shin Hyun Jun portrays Taekkyon Kim as the dumbish funny but loveable character.

Next is the second Mr. Kim, the Kendo master, with his perfect fake Japanese, but can never hit his enemy in a fight. The funny thing about Taekkyon and Kendo Kims is they don’t get along together, but they are the best partners in crime, if not funniest.

Then the newcomer, Mr.Kim, a kungfu master who loves classic piano, and shows his proud of his new dojo by breakdancing. Youngest and (seems) coolest among the three Kims, but he is not that particularly perfect.

The object of their affection is Yeosshin, daughter of a Chinese restaurant owner, who is also the landlord of Mr.Kim.

The kid is Taekkyon Kim’s faithful but unfaithful son. He used to be his father’s biggest fan - and only pupil, as the new Mr. Kim arrives in town-, but then he is tempted to try other martial art when his daddy refuses to teach him lethal moves to kick his bully schoolmates’ butt (…”I will teach you, how about in ten years?”…)

The story is about the three Kims’ competition to win Yeosshin’s heart, with Kungfu Kim has the advantage since he has won landlord’s heart with his wushu. The bigger problem arises, as a group of mafia tries to take over the town, hence stirs the peaceful and quietness. The problem forces Kims to join, save their tiny world with their awkward ways. But guess the main idea is not to show that the town is saved, sound and peaceful, because till the end, the mafia problem is not entirely cleared. at least that is what i see. The mafia is only a medium for the 3 Kims to join force and befriends.

Of course, it is a piece of cake to guess how the story ends, but this movie is an easy chew anyway. I don’t think you are expected to think too hard over this comical piece.

Kwon Oh Jung, plays the Kungfu Kim, shows nice martial art, and if you are a commoner who don’t understand all about martial art like me, you might think he is a real athlete.

Rating : I don’t do sports, not to mention extreme ones. My sport is  watching sports. That’s why the movie suits people like me. And some cool shooting angles will make you feel like watching a commercial video. Nice.

I bought this movie simply because it reminded me of my early teenage, when CaliforniaPro inline skate was a huge trend back in the days, and the teenage  me (and my teenage shaking knees) tried to  smoothly and gracefully glide, but ended up with such pathetic  awkward skids. I gave up after some intimate moments with the asphalt road. Yeah, yeah, what’s so good about rolling on the damn wheeled shoes anyway..

Since i bought it just because of the cover, i didn’t know what it was about (i mean the storyline), i thought it might be a some kind of semi-documenter movie.  

At the beginning yes. It seemed like semi-documenter, when this nerd highschool boy Soyo (Cheon Jeong Myeong) first encountered this inline skate group, where he eventually joined and learned more about his secret passion, the aggressive inline skate.  The director introduced us to the skaters through Han Joo’s camera (Jo I Jin), and that was when i started to hope to see some unique way of storytelling. The skaters were preparing for the local competition, and it seemed like a big thing, and Soyo, the rookie skater,  wanted to join too.

Soyo started to build relationship with the group, led by Gabba (Lee Cheon Hee *wiping drools*) the Hyung of the gang.  But it was not Gabba that Soyo looked up to, it was Mogi (Kim Kang Woo, with his erratic thin moustache), the gang’s big guy with the big brag and in peevish fact, big competence. Soyo learned how to live the street skaters’ life, that a railing is not for your hands, but your wheels. 

and to be chased here and there by the police. 

As the story went further,  more drama added. And then, the movie became just like any ordinary drama movie. I always think these amazing street wanderers could be pictured in so much more interesting way, than just a drama telling about boys’ ego. And they could use some more of Han Joo’s camera, instead of making her as a useless role but Soyo’s daydream object.

But hell, even with that lousy drama and romance, watching the guys strolling the roads and buldings just like Yamakasi on wheels, is good for your eyes. The movie had the jawdropping moments, and man, i did drop my jaw…and the message before the credit title was really touching, it said something like “This movie is dedicated for those who falls thousand times for a five minute glory”…oh, and damn good music!!!if you don’t like the movie, you’ll definitely like the soundtracks.

i also had the bonus footage on the DVD about the real aggressives skaters, made me dug  the storehouse, just to find my CaliforniaPro’s rotten wheels are no longer in round shape..damn..

Actor Kim Myung Min, who gained popularity for his role as the cold doctor Jang Joon Hyuk in the drama “White Tower,” has been cast as the lead male character for the movie “Open City.”

On the 27th, the movie entertainment company, Ivision Entertainment, said that Kim Myung Min will play the role of Jo Dae Young, a criminal investigator who has the greatest number of successful arrests. The movie “Open City” will be about the showdown between a syndicate running a pick pocketing business and criminal investigators.

Not only will Kim Myung Min show thrilling action stunts in this movie, but also melodramatic scenes where he express sadness and hate towards the mother who abandoned him, and the impossible love between him and woman who he met by chance.

“Open City” will start filming in July and aims to finish in December.

Yoon Jin-seo Casted in Horror Flick
Actress Yoon Jin-seo has been cast as the lead role in a new horror flick. The film, which has been temporarily titled ‘There Are Two People’, is based on a popular comic series by cartoonist Kang Gyung-ok . ‘There Are Two People’ revolves around a mysterious event that Jina, a high-school student born in a cursed family, inevitably encounters. Much attention has been paid on Yoon Ji-seo’s transformation because Yoon Ji-seo, who will play the role of Jina, is expected to show off her mysterious charms in the film. ‘There Are Two People’ is Yoon Ji-seo’s first horror film in her acting career.

now, what did i say about Movie Title and Korean Producers?

“There Are Two People“…yeah a freakin title for a horror flick.  slim chance for me to watch this movie, it’s a horror, and i don’t really know anything about the cast or the director, so…

but if you want, you can see the trailer here, it’s a good video, and maybe worth to give it a try, i dunno, you try it..
