Nothing .. just be yourself !
This seems to be Seo in Young’s method … and we all gotta learn it from the girl!
I donno of anyone has been criticized this badly as she has in Kpop so far!
and What do you know … she is coming back with her 2nd solo album soon!
Wonderful wedding pictures of her with Crown J are finally out!
i was so much looking forward those “LOVE IS” ones .. where are they?
“That” day finally arrived, Kpoppers! It’s now getting official that since earlier this year your man was dating the former Miss Korea (these days an actress).
Seems like they met through mutual friends
and parents of both side already approved of their relationship!
Sang Woo’s parents call her sincere! Who wouldn’t be in her shoes?
I know her from TOP drama, “I AM SAM” the truth is .. she was reminding me so much of Hyori! Now, don’t kill me .. might be that she is Hyori’s big admirer .. but from her smile to her body language suggested me that way!
Yeah, my friends we all knew this day would’ve come sooner or later!
Thank God, he finally end up with a woman *rolling eyes*
Wonder what jamilia is doing now LOL!
Lee Hyori finally released her MV for her title song “U Go Girl”. The story line is about a nerdy, naive girl who decides to get plastic surgery and comes back as a glamorous diva. Hyorish adds some special touches, like the dance break in the middle, just to show that she’s still got the groove. She managed to prove that she’s definitely the “IT” girl of kpop, with an explosive number of hits on her MV and preorders for her album.
Hyori’s MV also dispelled all rumors of plagiarism, exonerating the MV producer of his faults. Good thing I trusted the adamant Mr. PD because I bet a lot of people will be sheepishly admitting that this “copy-kittish scandal” was blown out of proportions. I also noticed that the soda-pop bar scene was a parody of a Burger King commercial, not a copy of Christina Aguilera’s “Candy Man”. In celebration of Lee Hyori’s vindication over the hot-headed netizens, the picture above is a witty touché and I’m proud of it. Anyway, look forward to the popdiva’s comeback performance on July 18. Lee Hyori, you go girl! or should I say ‘U go gur!’

Lee Hyori is walking the fine line of plagiarism with her new MV for “U Go Girl.” There are 2-3 scenes in the MV that have a striking resemblance with Christina Aguilera’s hit song “Candy Man” and netizens are crying foul. But the producer thinks otherwise, posing a risque question of whether 2-3 similar scenes could be considered plagiarism. I don’t know, Mr. PD, you should have thought of that before instead of leaving Lee Hyori to defend herself that she’s not a cheap knock-off. But one thing is for sure, Lee Hyori’s song ‘U Go Girl’ is ORIGINAL.
I hope this doesn’t get blown out of proportions before the real MV is released. Lee Hyori has also been called a copy-cat for following Amy Winehouse’s crack concept and for her last MV “10 minutes”, where many netizens noticed that it resembled Jennifer Lopez’s “I’m Real”.
On a brighter note, Lee Hyori has stepped up her game! Her entire album is finally out. (It was out until it got ruthlessly taken down, however, you can download it yourselves for those who are resourceful.) There are 3 noticeable songs: 1)이발소 집 딸 (Barber’s daughter) - a personal, uplifting song of her childhood and family; she also visited her dad’s old barbershop on “Lee Hyori: Off the Record” to get inspiration for this song, 2) 사진첩 (Photobook) - a jazzy, bluesy, all-around sassy song, 3) Sexyboy - features Wheesung, who shows off his amazing voice once again after a successful recovery, 4) Unusual (ft. Seo Jung Hwan) - Youtubers are pointing out that the song is exactly like Timbaland’s song “Give it to Me” (ft. Nelly and Justin Timberlake).

Sorry for the late post loyal readers, unfortunately I had technical difficulties yesterday and couldn’t post this weeks segment on time.
Nevertheless we have a lot of updating to do, so let’s get down to business. Firstly I need to mention that the ‘news’ this week doesn’t need much elaboration so I’ve decided to give you guys a lot of news with not so much commenting. So, here goes the ShenYuePop K-Entertainment newscast:
Seo-InYoung boosts Maybelline’s Popularity
That’s right, little miss mushroom head Seo InYoung has impressively boosted Maybelline’s Internet sales a decent 10% ever since she signed on as a Spokesperson. Now, who needs Godly beauty for a makeup ad, personality is what really shines. (that and an extremely popular reality show)
Epik High promotes Subliminal Messaging
Well, not really. Apparently some have discovered that when you play Epik High’s album track “비(Be)” backwards the word “Jesus” can be made out. It’s called ‘Backward Masking’ and it is usually associated with devil worship and subliminal messaging, but um…. what the hell? It’s purely coincidental and whoever discovered this seriously has too much time on their hands.
Faceless star Zia, causes a stir
I’m pretty sure she’s no longer faceless and she’s revealed her face (hands up to whoever actually was anxious to see who she was), but apparently Zia also been bitten by the ‘plagiarism’ bug and her album poster looks a little too much like the new ‘Sex and The City’ movie poster.
Ohhh Lee Hyori and Mnet
This poor girl has so much drama thrown her way. Miss Lee HyoRi apparently needs as much attention as humanly possible to be successful with her new album. Get this, she’s dropped out of hosting popular variety show ‘Sang Sang Plus’ to concentrate on her new album, has had more songs off her album leaked, and has been accused of plagiarism for both her album cover and new video. Phew… that’s quite a lot of drama for just one album, and anyone who knows the Biz can tell how stupid Mnet is looking by purposely leaking it. YES, Mnet we weren’t born yesterday, we can tell you leaked 5 whole songs off her album yourselves and are announcing it so people can listen to it. Keep insisting your hunting the guy down that leaked it, where’s the dude that released the teaser then?
Not Another Girl Band?!
Apparently the music scene isn’t bombarded enough with girl bands and boy bands debuting, but they’re also not young enough either. Check out the music video of new girl group “Sweety“, whose youngest member is 7 and the oldest is 14 (korean age). Warning, this is going to keep playing in your head no matter how bad you think it is.
Ryu SiWon, talented and Honorable
Ryu SiWon has been making ajummas in Japan swoon for years now, and it’s obvious that he is a big time HallYu star. Now, he is a ‘Hallyu Star with a Heart’ and he’s been awarded for it. Mr. Ryu, was awarded a Japanese Emperor’s Medal of Honor last Tuesday at Niikata Prefecture for his large donations to the region. To those of you who didn’t know, Niikata was hit with a bad earthquake last year and Mr. Ryu contributed quite a hefty donation as well as holding a concert there. So nice.
Super Junior hit no.4 in Japan My apologies, I couldn’t be bothered to find a picture of all of them.
I personally had no idea they were releasing any single, what with half of them in China and half being Happy, but word has it that Super Juniors’ Japanese version of ‘U’ has reached the fourth spot in the Oricon Daily Chart. Good for them, maybe when they all get back together and they go to actually promote their singles, they may in fact do better. It’s a good time to be a Korean Artist in Japan.
Seo TaiJi making hearts beat faster
Maybe it’s just my heart, but I seriously cannot wait for Seo TaiJi’s comeback album. This man is not only Music Legend in Korea, but a Musical Genius. His company has released the date for his Mini-Album and people write it down in your diaries, July 29th shall be the day we see true creative music get back in to K-Entertainment. Ok, I know there’s great music out there already, but it’s so few and far between… *sigh* I just love me some Seo TaiJi…
JinuSean comeback?
JinuSean recently graced the stage with sexy diva Uhm JungHwa on the great show “Yoon DoHyuns Love Letter” and there’s been cries of comeback for the duo. It’s about time if you ask me, come back JinuSean and make our ears scream happy please!
Baby VoX is back!
No sweetheart, just the name. There are no names left in the Universe, old ones must be recycled, it’s good for the environment. Well, not really, but Baby VoX ReV have come back with two new members and have decided to drop the ‘Rev’ part in their name. Collectively, the ‘Baby VoX’ name has seen 11 female members to this day, if my calculations are correct. I dont understand why this is necessary, nonetheless I have lost interest already, how bout you?
Well, so much for not commenting… Anyhow here is the top 10 of last week, and as ever thanks to Edward1849 of Soompi…
