Yes, it seems that not only are SM branching out for their World Domination but Avex will also find themselves getting ‘in’ on the new star action.

Avex, as a lot of you know is HUGE, and they have contacted us to let you guys know that they are searching for the next biggest International Superstar. Awesome, huh?

Basically this audition is open to 13-24 year olds based in the US, of all nationalities and races.

avex group, one of the world’s largest independent entertainment companies, has announced the launch of avex star search, the U.S. portion of the avex 20th anniversary avex world audition 2008. avex is seeking talented, U.S-based, male and female musical artists of all racial backgrounds, ages 13-24, interested in becoming a performer and recording artist in Asia.

Potential applicants must first sign up online at www.avexstarsearch.com using the audition application form. All accepted applicants will be notified via e-mail about audition requirements, locations, specific requirements and times. All applicants must be able to temporarily or permanently relocate to Japan.

Selected talent will be invited to sign a contract with avex group and embark on a career as a performer in Asia and may also be invited–at the expense of Avex–to attend the avex Artist Academy, where they will receive additional vocal, dance, acting, language and modeling training, refining their skills at one of two state-of–the-art avex facilities.

avex group will be holding auditions for avex star search in the 3 U.S cities this Fall, although other cities and states with significant numbers of applicants will be considered for separate auditions. Audition locations:

San Francisco, CA - October 25th and 26th
Los Angeles, CA - November 8th and 9th
New York, NY - November 15th and 16th

Avex is pretty much worldwide and deal with International artists expanding in Asia. They handle huge popular J-Musicians such as Koda Kumi, M-Flo, Anna Tsuchiya and Monkey Majik, etc. And Korean acts such as BoA, DBSK, TSZX and Clazziquai.
